Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great to walk around, but better still, hop on one of them new Mobikes and cycle round. Best on a hot, sunny day.

Went on a bike ride with the kids starting at Sale Water Park. Glad we spent more time at the more tranquil Chorlton end with it's nice little play area for the kids. Looked like there was plenty of parking but we had biked there.

We enjoyed the easy biking but be warned .... dog poo!! Grrr. More at Sale Water Park actually. Not fun spending half your time looking at the floor!

I'll begin by advising not to feed the geese. There are lots of them. They will surround you in droves and it's terrifying.

Beyond that - this is an enjoyable circuit to walk or cycle around. Wouldn't necessarily seek it out unless we were in the area, but it is great for some peace on a weekday.

Delightful walks around the water park. Excellent for all: Families with buggies, bikes and roller skates, dog walkers, dog runners, lots of runners, sedate post lunch walkers and fishermen/ women. Always a delight to walk around here.

Great place for nice leisurely walks or a picnic and a place to go walk the dogs but I would prefer it to be more family and friends and a space for the dogs elsewhere

This is one of the treasures of Chorlton and is a nice step back from the hustle and bustle of the main part.

Within walking distance of the main strip, or for those that find it too far the bus is the easiest way of stopping near it. Always amazes me how huge this place is

What a beautiful tranquil oasis in the midst of concrete. Loads of wildlife, great place for dog walkers, cyclists joggers fishing etc.
I often visit as it's so peaceful and even in the middle of a busy summers day a small spot can be found where one can re- energise and contemplate nature.. Peaceful :-)

An excellent venue for walking, cycling or fishing.
Very popular spot in the south of Manchester for walking around the lake, dog walkers paradise
Good fishing pegs but you need a licence

Brilliant place to take a wander in nature right in the middle of urbanisation. Approx 5 miles from the city centre there is loads of wildlife with varieties of waterfowl, maybe even a visiting cormorant journeying up the nearby Merseyside. Adjacent to Chorlton Golf Club if you want a round while the rest of the family enjoy the water park. Ice cream van nearly always on hand.

We needed to stretch legs after a journey so dropped in at the park. It's not that big and is basically a lake within a bowl shaped feature with a rough track around it with odd bits of woodland.

Ducks, geese and swans on the lake and we saw several joggers as well as a few dog-walkers and young families with kids.

It was a bit chilly and windy so we only stayed long enough to blow away the cobwebs. It'll be a nice spot on a sunny day and will be popular for picnics but it probably gets busy given the mass of population close by.
