It’s all in the name… salut / sa’lu: used to express friendly feelings towards one’s companions before drinking. Good company, good wine and good food, there’s nothing better, except having all that in a great space with excellent service, and that’s the idea behind Salut. Salut brings a Mancunian no-nonsense attitude to wine-tasting. If you want a guiding hand, our knowledgable and friendly team are here to help. If you want to have fun exploring on your own, there’s no better place to jump in and go for it. With over 550 wines by the bottle, 50 wines by the glass, a carefully chosen beer and spirits menu, soft drinks and nibbles and platters to feast on, there's something for everyone!

Amazing wines! Lovely sparkling red wine! We’ll be back. So much choice of wonderful wines and great service, the cheese and charcuterie are great too.

Had a lovely drink here, the staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the wines. Was a great option to have the various wines in the cases that you could sample. Will be returning.

Lovely glass of wine and a fantastic cheeseboard to end our evening in Manchester…top class and reasonable value…my only constructive criticism would be there is condensation/steamed up windows throughout which isn’t that pleasant visually

I come here regularly and have never had a bad time! It's perfect for dates, catch ups with friends, large groups, or an evening reading alone.
The bar oozes class and tranquility. The outdoor seating is perfect for an afternoon sun trap, and the indoor set up is lovely on a cold rainy day. Toilets are clean and accessible. The glassware and crockery is high quality. It is a small venue so make sure to reserve if there's a few of you.
Staff are welcoming and provide prompt and professional service. Their knowledge really is a joy to behold, and their recommendations never fail to disappoint!
The menu really encompasses a great selection of wines that fit every palate and budget, and the pay as you go wine "vending machines" are really fun. As well as wine there is a small but very well thought out selection of beers, whiskies, gin, spritz cocktails, unique alcohol free drinks, and excellent tea and coffee.
If you're in the area, this place is a must visit, even if just for a small glass of something. You'll love it.

Salut Wines is a great little wine bar in downtown Manchester. Service is very friendly. Best to buy your own bottle and pay the drink in price.

Visit here with my partner at least every month! It’s the best wine bar in Manchester! I have put a few pictures of the last few times we have been! Amazing food, lovely staff….. great wine!!

If ever you are in the mood for something a bit different salut could be the place for you. There’s lots of pubs around it, but this place is a beacon of class and we always really enjoy our visits there.
On this occasion it was early on a Thursday evening and the place was pleasantly busy. The service is absolutely top class And you have a number of different options.
You can just sample different wines from the cases, have a glass or two of your favourite tipple or buy a bottle. This latter option worked perfectly for us on this occasion as we had a glass of an excellent Malbec in the bar, and then took the rest to a bring your own Thai restaurant nearby.
The price is a wide-ranging, so there’s something for everyone is pocket, and it is definitely worth giving a try if you haven’t already.
