So unexpected to find a Statue of Liberty in Colmar on a crowded avenue ! You must have a car to see it. The story of this Statue of Liberty is interesting (Bartholdi was a native of Colmar and for the death centennial commemoration, the city decided to put in a copy of the original one)

On our recent stay in Colmar we drove by the Statue for a quick look. This is all you will need since it is in the middle of a roundabout.

Such ashame this is in the middle of a roundabout. Would have myself put this in the town centre. Taking a photograph can prove difficult

Surreal miniature version of Bartholdi's Statue of Liberty. It's in the center of a roundabout about 400 m off the A35. It's a great homage to the artist's hometown.

A great town to drive by for food products and gifts for foodies. Seeing the statue is a bit funny coming from NY

Standing on a culdesac during your way in to Colmar is the smaller the real life statue. It's fun to see it there when it's the last thing you might expect to see.

We went to Colmar to see the quaint town (which it is!!) and take a look at their Statue of Liberty, since we'd moved to Zurich from NYC and wanted to see a "familiar face". We got off the train in Colmar and found out that it was miles away from there and wasn't close or en route to the... More

Majestuous representation of the Inspiration of Bartholdi's work. The Liberty Statue at the Entrance of Colmar is opening the Alsatian traditions after a tour on the wine road a visit of the famous Christmas Market and the oldtown prior heading to Riquewihr is a must do for anyone. The small Statue is so beautuful and reminds me the one in... More

At a rotary in France stands an impressive replica of the Statue of Liberty. The designer, Frederic Bartholdi, was born in Colmar and this was recently erected in his honor
