Located not far from Musee Unterlinden and the starting point of the Petite Train. Be mesmerized by the stained glass and works by Schonbauer. Unlike some cathedrals or churches which stained glasses were actually reproduction of the original that have been destroyed by war or...More

To complain about the €2 fee, or that the church is "empty", is rather to miss the point. Empty or not, it's a graceful, elegant and impressive building, enclosing a huge space with stone and glass. And what glass! I mean, come on.... it's 700+...More

This church is definitely worth the 2 euros! Come and spend some time here looking at the beautiful art. Several reviewers have eloquently described “La Vierge au Buisson de Roses” and we too were fascinated by this beautiful work of art. However, we spent about...More

A lot of people complai about the entrance fee. There are almost in all countries in Europe where they charge to look at the wonderful art. And here you have a masterpiece of Martin Schongauer - so it is worth to pay the entrance fee....More

Stark church. A few nice paintings but otherwise nt really worth the price of admission. Just a big emoty section with columns and then a place for Masses that had the art.

There is not a great deal to see in the Eglise des Dominican and there is a 2 euro entry charge. However, I thought two things made it fascinating. The first was the centre piece by Martin Shoengaur (lots more of his work is in...More

Nothing to go out of your way to see. I also disagree with paying to get into a church in the first place.

I am mocking the idea of being exasperated to see more incomparable masterpieces, as if one could ever grow tired of artistic perfection. Meaning: the Unterlinden Museum nearby has a whole exhibit of the art of the German Renaissance master Martin Schongauer, and now here...More

Some Tripadvisor reviewers object to the small entrance fee for the Dominican Church and even claim church entrance fees don’t exist elsewhere. Travelling in Europe, we remember for certain having paid fees in Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Germany and the UK. In London, for...More

This has taken 'stick' from some reviewers on the basis of an entry charge (although diminutive at around 1.50 E). I suspect this is acceptable, and permitted within French law, because the place is no longer consecrated. We were there right at Mass time on...More
