If you been to Venice, you might say this is nothing like Venice. Many people come and would be disappointed on this attraction. Colmar is filled with history, old business and restaurants and timber houses. Tuck away in Colmar is little Venice. A canal that...More

You have to visit once in Colmar. Do not expect Venice... Combining German and French architecture style on the end is interesting and beautiful. Also when you are looking for French Winebar or German style bier... Enjoy on a nice walk through the Old city...

Little Venice is a quaint and charming neighborhood in Colmar. We were lucky to see it all decorated for Christmas. It is definitely worth the short walk from the train station or city center to see this area.

This area of Colmar is very pretty and definitely worth a visit when in town. Even in winter it becomes somewhat crowded as people stop by to photograph the half-timber houses and the attractive canal.

Hi and apologies for not spotting your question, but I see that other travelers had good advice. Just curious how you enjoyed it? Did you go on the boat ride? Best Pam

Hi there I'm sorry I can help you with that one, as we travelled by car. The railway station (La Gare) was right next to our hotel and 10 Mins walk from Little Venice. Hope this helps a little? Cheers David
