I am sure you will tumble on this pretty house as you walk the streets of Colmar, the Pfister House was built in 1537 for Ludwig Scherer, a hatter from Besançon. Its peculiarity lies in the fact that it features typical elements of the Middle...More

Between various colorful Alsacienne houses and buildings, this one stands out. Totally different architecture, you bump into this creation while walking the streets of Colmar.

The Pfister house is a historical monument and the most famous house in Colmar. Built in 1537 as it stands today, same for the additional frescoes added in 1577. Built from the sandstone and wood, it's distinguished by a two-story corner painting and it's turret....More

So I know its not Verona, but I could just see a young Juliet leaning over the balcony. This is a great example of a Renaissance building. Not a place to hunt for, but if you are strolling through this beautiful town you will fall...More

worth the stop, it's just a beautiful piece of architecture. The way it is preserved and maintained is really nice. We did not manage to get in but from outside is worth the detour.
