Unfortunately this museum tries to be all things to all people & ends up being a little disappointing. The spectacular building design promises something special. Many, many exhibits on the history of wine & wine around the world - great if you are doing a...More

We took a pack with the museum plus a cruise on the Garonne river, wine's tasting included. It was just original, well organized and very professional, in a beautiful architecture along the wharf. 31€/person, and we had a friendly and experienced guide on the cruise...More

When I knew I would be visiting Bordeaux in August I started researching what to do, and La Cite du Vin kept coming up as a "must see" attraction. I had no idea the museum is located in an industrial suburb of Bordeaux, which really...More

We were, I am afraid to say, disappointed with this attraction - we were open to be educated and entertained, but I'm afraid we felt it was a little bit off the mark - perhaps not exactly the thing to say the Bordeaux region, but...More

Interesting visit on the wine history. Most of the winemaker contribution are interesting except those from Bordeaux winemakers or broker (this one is boring). Tasting limited to one wine only. Good point on history of wine through the area and different regions. I recommend

This was a fun afternoon for a group of wine enthusiasts. We were impressed with the different interactive experiences the museum deployed to provide a fun, experiential wine education. Thought the entrance fee was slightly expenseive

Interesting building. Technological presentation. Mostly works but can be a bit hit and miss so frustrating. Really aimed at those with some interest in wine rather than those with a bit of knowledge. Wine tasters at the Belvedere a bit basic
