Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I wrote an email but have received no reply. We had a great tour of St Emillion and brilliant guide with Luigi on first Sat in May. After wind tasting at Le Croiserie, 3 of us were unwell. I was very unwell for rest day and night. Can they pls take care with the red wines being tasted and have crackers or bread in between? Three of us had very strong headaches straight after followed by doubling up after we were dropped off. Wasn’t expecting that at all. If it tastes rough, it is off. Thx.

Dear Grecophile2011,
It is with regret that we read your review and sorry to read that you felt ill.
In a quality concern, we took note of your remarks but we don’t see which tour you refer to.
We invite you to contact the Guided Tour Service to give more details.
It’s possible this tour is organised by a partner.
Unless if there’s a technical problem, we always answer emails we receive the very day or the next day but as soon as possible.
We hope this experience won’t stop you from making another trip to Bordeaux and we would be happy to welcome you again.
Best regards.

We took the 1 hour 10 minute Visi -Tour bus ride. Very well done. Comfortable and informative. Started to drizzle so the driver activated the cover for the open upper level. Earphones provided info in 7 languages and the sound was clear
Would highly recommend it to all

Very helpful , I asked questions about my holiday in Bordeaux and they gave me all information that I required.
After my wonderful stay in beautiful Bordeaux, I lost my mobile phone on a taxi to the airport.
Bordeaux Tourisme office helped me contact the taxi office and I managed to have my lost mobile phone posted to me in Malta
Highly recommend.

We visited the Office de Tourisme de Bordeaux to get some information on the best things to see and do in Bordeaux. We were not really interested in taking any tours, although the staff we spoke to made some suggestions. We love walking around on our own. The place was quite busy on the day we visited, so we had to wait for some time. We did not mind the wait, but obviously more staff would have helped, but that is the way it is. The staff were quite friendly and professional and provided lots of information.

Friendly staff with a load of options when visiting Bordeaux. You can purchase all many of tickets here for excursions, tours, and sights. Multiple languages spoken as well, just check the staff nametags which show which ones they speak.

My husband and I just spent a portion of our vacation in France in Bordeaux. Upon our arrival, we had the pleasure of taking a 2-hour, private, guided walking tour of Bordeaux. Our guide, Herve Jolis, set the tone for impressions and experiences in this marvelous area so well. Herve explained the sites and was so informative. His enthusiasm and friendliness put us both at ease and we were treated to an “insiders” view of both historic as well as other sites within the city center. We spent a total of 3 days in Bordeaux (we wish it could have been more) and feel that starting with this walking tour was a great way of setting the stage for all of the wonderful experiences we had throughout our stay. We recommend the walking tour and our guide, Herve Jolis, whole heartedly and encourage anyone traveling to the area to take this tour.

This afternoon we did a half day small group tour of the Medoc with Ophrus . Do not waste your money . At the first chateau we visited, Chateau Lascombes, the guide, who did speak English, had obviously been employed for her language skills of her birth country. Her knowledge of wine was non existent. She rattled on froma learned script and was unable to answer most questions. It was appalling. The second chateau, Chateau Marquis de Terme, was excellent and the guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about the industry. Our driver was just ok, nothing terribly interesting. We also thought that visiting 2 chateau in the one appellation was a cheap effort to save on driving a little further to experience something different. We felt that we had wasted our money and could have learned just as much with Google and several bottles of wine from a good wine cave!

We were very happy to have purchased this - it encouraged us to visit places that we might not have - the Customs Museum, the Botanical Gardens and the Decorative Arts Museum. We also used it for the little train tour, the ferry boat and the tram. The Cite du Vin is a must!

Great way to access trams and tourist attractions
Skip the free walking tour(there are others) take the red bus to get oriented to the city.
Bordeaux is mainly a walking city as car have very few roads they can use. Even taxis drop you off several blocks from your destination with directions. Makes trams and walking, outdoor cafes delightful!

Be aware that the City Pass is good for the day purchased & is not good for 24 hours. In other words if the City Pass is bought at 3:00 pm it is not good till 3:00 pm the next day as it expires on the day bought. Therefore it can be a very poor purchase if not purchased early in the day.

Hello, we are ten 30 year-old females on a hen-weekend looking for somewhere to go dancing in Bordeaux on Saturday June 30th 2018. Does anyone have any recommendations of a fun nightclub/discoteque or bar? The reviews I have read so far suggest La Plage and Le Cercle are no good for anyone who is not French. Thank you very much, Jo

If budget allows, stay close to the Grand Theatre which is on the main square. Everywhere is within easy walking distance. Two tramlines intersect nearby close to TIC. Otherwise stay further out but near a tram line. Hope this helps. Mike
