Although we had way too much rain during 5 days in Bordeaux, we enjoyed the architecture, good wine and city hall. Worth a visit.

Whilst in Bordeaux you really need to see the city and the buiding here was well worth the photo oppurtunity Go out of your way to enjoy!!

Lovely Building to look at.. good photo opportunity...but that's it really. Some nice cafes in the square so you can sit and gaze at it and the Cathedral.

We were confused when we set out to see the Hotel de Ville. There is no hotel as it has been converted to city hall. It is on a large square and there are cafes and restaurants surrounding the square. We tried to enter city...More

Its amazing to see this imposing building with all the history that i bring. I loved to see all the names of the ancien mayors writen in the ground.

Always been impressed by this beautiful stone building and well-groomed gardens, where I have attended many ceremonies from Weddings to VIP receptions, New Year's Greetings to Classical and Contemporary music, visiting Politicians & Ambassadors ... before settling as next-door neighbour in the Connemara Irish Pub...More

The city hall of Bordeaux is located just next to the Saint Andre church. The building was completed in 1784; it was the Archbishop's Palace. This is an excellent starting point to tour the old city, in the north-east direction, toward the river.

A very impressive decorative walled entrance, including, of course, a couple of statues and a gate opening out into the courtyard. The original Prince Archbishop's Palace took 13 years to complete and was ready for occupation in 1784. The interior still has the Olde World...More

The City Hall is fine, but the city doesn't make use of its cheap & excellent trams very easy. The task of buying a ticket at the sparsely available, clunky vending machines is a nightmare. They are hard to read even in one's chosen language...More
