This is one of the well-known sights of Bordeaux. On a hot sunny day, it's lovely just to take off your shoes and paddle in the water or walk in the mist (the water levels will vary according to the pre-set pattern). You can see lots of families take part and children playing in the water. After walking all day... More

One of the most beautiful squares I have ever seen. Surrounded by a historical palace and the river. The tram stops just in front of the fountain.

This place is just a sight to see, but a beautiful one at that! I highly recommend seeing it in the evening when it is lit up with lights! Also open carry is legal here so bring a bottle of local wine and enjoy!

Located on the banks of the Garonne River, this building is very statuesque. Worth a visit. The Mirror is in front (but not functioning - maybe because it's the depth of winter?)

Visited this area multiple times during our visit, and we would recommend you do the same, as the look and view of the area feels very different at different times of the day. My wife & I both agree at night is when the area is most impressive. We did not want to leave because it just felt so magical.... More

View the beautiful buildings while walking along the Garonne river. Bordeaux the French Atlantic trade Port opened up its medical walled city with the new square- beginning construction in 1735. Start your walk along the river and meander through he cobble stone streets up to the opera house and multiple cafe opportunities.
