We read a review of Ecole du Vin in "How do to Bordeaux on a Budget". We were not disappointed. The staff recommended we share 4 different wines so that we could taste 2 from Medoc and 2 from St. Emilion. The wines were very good and priced well. They also have small plates of food. We had the cheese... More

I did their 2 hour workshop which gives a very good overview of the region and its wines. The tutor (pretty Irish lady - didn't get her name unfortunately) explained things with the right balance of approachability and technical detail. The wines we tried - 2 reds, a dry white and a sweet white gave a good cross section. The... More

We took a two hour course ( which lasted 2.5 hours) and it was a great experience. It focused on Bordeaux and described the soils, grapes and climates of the different regions and why each area Is so distinctive. We also tasted four wines- a white, two reds and a sauterne. Our instructor was extremely knowledgeable....she herself runs a winery... More

My girlfriend and I booked into the two hour introduction to Bordeaux wines. The venue is extremely well set up with desks, a whiteboard and large tv for viewing the PowerPoint presentation. It was very interesting to find out more about the various wine growing regions around Bordeaux. The course concluded with a wine tasting of four local wines. It... More

I took the Technical, Practical, and Grand Cru Classé classes which is 7 days long. It was absolutely amazing! Our instructor was fabulous! We had the same instructor for the whole week and he was very helpful, knowledgeable, and even had a great sense of humor. I cannot believe how much I learned in one week! We learned about viticulture,... More

The Bordeaux School of wine is probably the best place to start exploring the region' s great wines. The School, which is generally a bar offers good selection of wine by glass at good price with small local tapas to accompany your drinks. The Scholl also offers wine courses and is also a nice architectonical place worth visiting.

The wine school was the best place to go in Bordeaux, the interior is beautiful and the sommelier are very knowledgeable and recommend a course of wine selections. The prices were the very best in France. I highly recommend going.

My wife and I had seen the Bordeaux Wine School on one of the Travel Channel shows, and based on that made our reservation to attend. We consider ourselves above average knowledge in wine (among USA imbibers), and having said that we both learned a lot. Small class, I think 20 maximum, with very good powerpoint presentation along with hardcopy... More

My husband and I took a 2 hour intro course that is offered daily during the summer months. Very knowledgeable and captivating instructor with some good documents to take home and review in greater detail. We got the opportunity to use our sense of smell to detect common Bordeaux wine fragrances as well as do a small tasting. Great experience... More

Best place for a glass of wine. Glasses from €2 at the moment with a wonderful selection of Bordeaux wine. The charcuterie and foie gras plates are perfect nibbles while you enjoy the wine.
