This spot was originally part of Napoleon's plans to build a sea wall along the Port Vieux. Never completed. The Steel walk way out to this island outcropping was built by Eiffel. Very good views from here and it is free.

Some amazing engineering went into the construction...and I saw it with both calm and stormy seas...worth the walk to get a great view of Biarritz

Fantastic scenery that would be breathtaking in any weather, luckily it was a lovely sunny day when we visited. A trip to Biarritz wouldn't be complete without a visit here.

Fantastic views of the coast coupled with the crashing waves below make this 5 minute walk from the center of town a must.

This is a promenade that extends into the bay of Biscay. The statue is of historical interest, as the rocks can easily be troublesome in stormy waters. Today it provides lovely views of the town, with a port hole viewpoint being the most prominent place to take a photo. Nice place to stroll.

It does not require a high fitness level to reach the promontory with legendary sculpture, and it can even be done pushing a stroller and with small children. Once reaching the end of the long, stable metal walkway, one can obtain a great view of the entire Biarritz coastline. The Breeze and sea are very bracing. This is a fun... More

This is an ugly bridge to a rock with a statue of Mary above it. A pleasant place to stroll out to and right next to the maritime museum. Some fishermen with rods but no luck. Great for an afternoon stroll and 10 min. Looking at the view of the sea and the wind eroded rocks.

This is hard to miss in Biarritz as it is right on the walk along the shore. It is well worth walking over the bridge to the rock on which there is the statue of the virgin. It is the views of Biarritz and the coast that are the real attraction. It is good to visit it if you can... More

Beautiful walk. You're on top of the ocean as you walk to the point. Very dramatic! The waves might even splash up on the walkway.
