Definitely worth a visit. We stayed for a week, though the 'gite' we stayed in was a first floor flat in one of the narrow streets - rue de la cordonnerie. Our holiday was spoilt by the loud music from the nightclub and the subsequent festivities which spilt out on to the street. It might be better to stay in... More

Lovely atmosphere walking around the town with its old buildings and shops with many restaurants to consider for future meals

Definitely a town worth visiting. Beautiful setting, beautiful buildings, and good food. Be sure to walk down to the port too.

Loved this place. We are there on a misty day. We spent about 3 hours walking around the cobbled streets., ramparts and shops but could have easily spent a whole day

A surprise to me but only because I didn't know of it before, Dinan is so worth a visit with splendid houses, squares, riverside port and parish church. No doubt a local guide would really bring it to life though even without one we enjoyed it immensely.

Though you can enjoy Dinan visiting it on your own, I would advise to do it one time with a city guide. You learn so much about history and the construction of these beautiful old houses.

We stopped for a short walk and some cider on our way from Chartres to Saint-Malo. Parked a car and walked around historic city centre for some time. It's very charming and has almost fairytale-like quality. Highly recommended.

We booked a 2 night stay in Dinan with little research as it was part of a road trip down to Italy. We were blown away by how beautiful the town is. Fabulous architecture and cute little shops and galleries. Great views out over the river and valley from the fortifications. Very nice atmosphere. Wish we could have stayed longer.... More

A beautiful preserve old city. The age of the buildings is magnificent. The streets are narrow and uneven so be very careful walking.

The historic center of Dinan deserves a full day and night. The streets are narrow and chock full of surprises like art galleries, cafes / tobac shops, high-end local product retailers and of course restaurants. Mixing in the local historical sites is a delightful way to spend the day. The old city opens up at night with local workers and... More
