Celine taught three of us very well about the reds and whites of Burgundy. We learned the basics quickly and then went on to finer details before a blind tasting of a range of very good wines, including a Grand Cru. She is quite conversant, friendly, personable and very knowledgeable, so it was the best event of my week in... More

I'd definitely recommend doing this course if you have only elementary or intermediate knowledge of Burgundian wines. Before you set off of winery visits probably makes sense, to set the scene, but in my case I did it at the end of the trip and it tied everything up nicely. I liked the emphasis on tasting, as opposed to information... More

We enrolled in a class for our first day in Beaune and we are so glad we did. Celine was wonderful, enthusiastic, and very enthusiastic about Burgundy wines. She gave us a very thorough overview of Burgundy wines and how they're distinguished. We were very well prepared for our other tours and visits to wine makers. Our course was very... More

My boyfriend and I were a bit confused by the various Burgundy wines and their labeling as we are more familiar with California/Oregon wines. This class/tasting was a fantastic help and just what we needed. We took this class the day before our wine tour and it provided a great knowledge base. Definitely recommend!

A short "course: in wines was the right way to prepare us for wine tastings, especially with Celine. Her course orients one to Burgundy wines--differences you detect by smell or taste, the levels of wine, and how to read a label. Celine had us sample various wines of different levels and asking, leading us to guess aromas and tastes. You... More

We booked a half day session at Sensation Vin and were impressed by the overall quality of the session. We found the instructor to be very professional, knowledgeable and engaging. The wines that we tasted gave us a very good appreciation wines from Burgundy. Overall an educational and fun experience.

We booked a class and tasting here to get some introduction to the area and the wines that make Bourgogne famous. Our guide was very knowledgeable and walked us through the description of the various types of local wines, the various regions, and how the various labels tell you what you are drinking. She was good with all of our... More

Having walked past Sensation Vin whilst exploring Beaune we decided to book on to the 1.5 hour 'essentials' session. As novices to wine tasting (with little experience of Burgundy wines) the course was both informative and fun. The lady running the course was friendly and open to questions. She introduced us to the 'basics' of tasting and explained the classification... More

We had the pleasure of doing the 1.5hr "Essentials" tasting. We travelled from Epernay and missed the turn off the Beaune, this meant that instead of arriving early we arrived half an hour late. The lady taking us for this tasting was more than accommodating in taking the rest of the class and the. Doing a quick catch up once... More

A friend and I did a half day tasting course here in April 14. There were only the two of us and the instructor so the one-on-one nature of the course meant that we felt we got a lot out of the session. In my view you learn a lot more in a course like this where you can taste... More
