Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Enough of the signs were in English to make the visit interesting. Vine is such an important part of this region, it was good to understand the history.

As Beaune is visited by many tourists throughout the year I don't understand why the museum is not really (foreign) tourist-oriented. No audio guides but a lot of written descriptions - the problem is: most of them are only in French. We helped ourselves with our medium French skills and translator (as there are a lot of technical terms).

Besides that: 5 € entrance are not expensive, the ehxhibition is interesting and you learn about the basics of viniculture (in Burgundy)!

Great museum and staff. Now’s the time to finish with the Vichy propaganda films from 1942.
Very interesting wine presses in the courtyard near entrance

This was a well-laid out (and I presume explained) and interesting museum. Although we do not speak much French, we were able to glean important information from the exhibits. I particularly enjoyed the pipes where you could smell wine flavours and see if you could identify them.

The history of wine and the background to the area was so neatly explained. I was interested in the growth methods and was explained that there are very strict rules regarding adding water to the growing grapes, use of fertilizers, and more.I was amazed at the history of the area how it is marked out and what they area allowed to and not do with and to the growing vines. Gave me an appreciation for the conditions the locals work with and under.
Then history of the grape varieties and what can be grown. A definite must if you wish to understand history, methodology and more as what can and cannot defines what the vineyards can/cannot do which then also affects the workers ans life in the valleyrc

Worth seeing. Gives an overview of wine making and the history of this part of Burgundy.
Entry can be combined with the Art Museum and is good value.

I am fairly fluent in French but found it hard work translating everything for my wife, as most of the information had no English text.
The lady on the desk said a visit would take 40 minutes but, due to the above, we gave up and were out in about 15 minutes.

interesting museum where you can learn a lot about the wines of Burgundy. The old wine presses in the covered courtyard are very interesting. Too bad not all explanations and inscriptions are bilingual - quite a few are only in French....

This museum could be more better in so famous wine region as Burgundy. Only the exhibit where visitors could estimate different smells which characterized Burgundy wines impressed me. One of the problem this museum is that information provides in French language only.

As wine lovers we had high expectations for the museum, however the experience was not as accessible as we hoped as we do not read French. Interesting artifacts, but the textual materials were useless.
