Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Chapel of St Hubert, patron saint of hunters, is within the grounds of the castle and included in the ticket price. It is the final resting place of Leonardo da Vinci, who was originally buried in a place that was later demolished. A white marble bust in the gardens within sight of the chapel marks the spot where his remains (attested by various evidences - read the literature) were found. They were transferred here and laid in the floor with a large stone with his name covering the spot.
The Gothic building is typically elaborate but look out for the antlers on the spire and the iron antlers of the deer in the carvings over the door.

The St. Hubert Chapel is located within the Chateau Royale premises. You cannot visit it without paying the Chateau entrance fee.
It is on your left when you enter the Chateau courtyard. The Chapel is pretty small, yet very nice commemorating this great Italian master who spent his final years in Amboise working for Royal Court of Francois I.

Given the significance of Leonardo Da Vinci, and given that you have seen many of his wonderful works, it is important that you set aside time to visit his burial site. It is a beautiful little chapel that is Gothic in design--a work of art in itself!

It may be debatable that Leonardo is buried here but who cares, it is a stunning little chapel on the grounds of the Chateau.

It is a pretty little chapel located on the grounds of the Chateau d'Amboise. There really isn't much to the chapel, but it contains the tomb of Leonardo DaVinci. DaVinci spent his final years in Amboise as a patron of Francois I. They developed a close friendship and DaVinci requested his final resting place be in Amboise.

In this location, Leonardo Da Vinci rests were transferred and buried exactly where he wished to be buried.

This is a small but lovely chapelle built into the walls of the Chateau d'Amboise. Amboise is a lovely spot to stay if visiting the Loire Valley. So much charm.

Very small so we waited for the tour groups to move on before visiting. Full of the smell of lilies. Leonardo's tomb and very good carving.

The chapel is the final resting place of Leonardo da Vinci. The architecture is beautiful and it sits on the very edge of the ground’s plateau.
