Though the entry price of almost 10 EUR can be considered as rather steep, this place can be great for a visit or a picnic (brought yourself or served at certain occasions). The pagoda itself is the sole remains from what once was an impressive...More

We took three year old twin boys and a five year old girl. Explorer pack taken for the girl. Great fun. First old garden with toys fabulous fun. Old games by the lake kept everybody interested and happy for hours. Picnic baskets enjoyed by all....More

The pagoda is quirky and cool and a great photo opportunity. If it were a 2 or 3 Euro entry fee I would give this 5 stars as it is I really struggled to give it 3 stars and only did so because it is...More

We stumbled on this and were glad we did. It's this cool old pagoda with a great view of the surrounding countryside. (After 152 stairs, I think.) It's an interesting diversion from most other sites you'll see and has an interesting history. Interactive games of...More

We were only expecting to see the pagoda and leave. The entry fee is fairly steep for that, however the staff have clearly done their best to make it worthwhile. Shop, Chinese gardens and games were all enjoyable for a group of people who would...More

Had a very enjoyable walk round the small garden and larger lake, and then enjoyed the fabulous views from the pagoda. Very interesting looking at the photographs of before and after renovation. Very obliging staff at the shop. The wooden games are a bit worn...More

I was stunned by the elegance of the Pagoda as soon as saw it from afar. The beauty of it lies in the tranquility of the landscape and the thoughtful architecture. Built in the 18th century, the time when Asia was a wonder to Europeans,...More

The Pagode de Chanteloupe is all that is left of a once great chateau and gardens and we have been visiting it on and off since 2004. It's a great place for a picnic, away from the bustle of Amboise and the popular chateaux of...More

We just walked from the parking to the ticket office. The entrance fee was 10 euro and we just took a photo and left. I don't know if it is worth the fee.
