The chateau is magical. It has a wonderful feel as it is a private home so definitely feels lived in, not just a museum. The grounds are beautiful and are a perfect place to explore or to have a picnic by the water. Children would...More

We came on the A La Francais tour after Chateau Villandary and a picnic in the grounds beside the river in the sunshine was blissful. Take your own and spend an afternoon relaxing.

Probably the cutest chateau I ever saw, with very authentic interiors, yet the castle is inhabited. And a lovely park and mill house. Worth the visit every inch.
