An interesting diversion

Possibly more interesting with children but still worth spending time to discuss over the history of Robert Houdin and the link to Houdini.

After taking the kids through castle and castle in the area, this can be a reward for them. A small museum packed with history of magic and some artifacts too. Don't miss the dragons!

This museum offers some in debth information of the illusionist profession or magician's for that. Famous robert houdin hailed from blois and the american houdini took his name from houdin who was also a very good watchmaker. Do not miss this place and most of all do not miss the dragons!

Wonderful place with lots of interesting and some thought provoking illusions to see. The show was primarily targeted at a younger audience but was still very enjoyable. Highly recommend buying the combined castle and magic house ticket.

I couldn't get into this at all. Language barrier I guess. The exhibits again didn't take to me as they didn't even appear to be the real thing. I did enjoy the magic show. Found it clostaphobic after the show when trying to find the rest of the exhibits. Managed to miss a few floors and the 'exit by the... More

This wasn't my thing, but it was well done. Our teenagers were mildly amused. Many young children were having a blast. The magic show was well-done, but in this age of special effects in the movies, it's hard to impress teenagers.

The house of magic features a beautiful magic show, suitable for all ages, regardless of language spoken. In addition, it has 3 floors of exhibitions. the first floor has various interactive exhibitions, which were just great. The second floor is boring, unless you ate really interested in the history of magic. The third floor has a very intetesting attraction: you... More

I think you have to remember when visiting this place that it is the HISTORY of magic and not magic as we 'imagine'now. The show was quite sweet and almost innocent. It was fairly easy to guess how the tricks were done as it involved a lot of suspicious looking crates and the actors wearing large overcoats to potentially conceal... More

I took my seven year old son to this museum and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The show was ace the attractions were interesting and the mirror walk on the top floor brilliant worth a visit with kids of this age group.

If you are intending to visit this magic venue you must ensure that you time it with one of the live magic shows which are put on during the day. If you do not I suspect that you may be disappointed by the few displays. There are one magician standing at table shows which take place in the main venue.... More
