A must see in the Loire

Very interesting chateau, with an organic restaurant, very beautiful geometric gardens. the vegetable gardens are grown by the monks and their shape reflects that.

So much to do here. We really enjoyed it all, especially the walk through the forest and the gardens. We were welcomed to the gardens by two huge swans. Just a wonderful visit. Our children loved it all, the the maze was a treat at the end.

Truly an amazing site. We have toured gardens all over the world, and this ranks in the top three, without doubt. The interior of the house was also wonderful--much more personal that many historic sites. You can imagine a family actually living there. Don't miss this jewel!

I visited on a chilly fall day when there were few people around and it was magical to explore this creatively manicured garden. So much to see that you could wander for hours.I love that one enters on the lower level, crosses the moat, and can walk higher and higher until the whole place is at your feet. One of... More

The grounds of this chateau are really beautiful for a stroll around and the buildings are so regal, it's like being in another world.

Like many tourists to the chateaux region of the Loire, we saw that this was a must see. We were unprepared for the gardens -- this is a must see! We did not go into the chateau, but wandered for several hours in the different garden areas. The most amazing thing I saw were the apple trees at knee height,... More

Gorgeous gardens and the internal exhibitions also interesting. Really, however, it is all about the gardens. Have to be seen to be believed. The Red Queen would be right at home.

The castle is beautiful, stile rinascimento, but inside you will discover history and a very pleasant home. The gardens and the lake are a place for meditation. Do not miss the salad in the restaurant - it is excellent! There is even a little shop for gardening, and a one for souvenirs. A place where you can see and feel... More

By the time I got to this Château I was done walking through them. I was ready to pay the full price just to walk these grounds, but they had a reduced price for those who just want to tour the grounds. Wish more Châteaus had the same deal! Highly recommend touring the grounds of this Château.
