    Great for the whole family
We went and took the audio guided tour. It was a very well organized tour and we had a good time during all the stages of the tour. The elevator is a really nice touch. Also the train makes it easier for children and the audio guide is helpful to make them listen at their rate. The tasting was also nice and well explained. Would visit again when in the area

    A disappointing visit
I was fairly disappointed by this visit. I think the guide, Julie, was excellent. But the tour was ruined by misbehaving young children and rude teenagers. The tour was scheduled to last 2 hours, but the cellar your, vineyard tour, and tasting were complete within an hour and 10 minutes. Maybe it was the kids, maybe the heat, but I found that disappointing. The other visitors were quite rude to the guide - allowing children to run about, not paying attention, etc. If you’re not interested in what your guide has to say, and you make it difficult for those who are interested to hear and understand, then maybe guided tours aren’t for you??

    Excellent champagne visito experience
My wife and I booked an audio tour. The visitor centre, the tour and the champagne tasting were fantastic and excellent value for money. The multimedia experience in the elevator and the train journey through the underground tunnels were captivating and informative. We tasted three glasses of champagne, guided by an engaging and knowledgeable sommelier. Overall we had a great time and would highly recommend it.

We have done this tour 3 times so far and taken friends. There are different levels of tours available but we always choose the tasting one. It’s worth every euro! They have perfected the tour to make it fun, inclusive and informative. We’ll done everyone at Mercier!

Super tour of a great champagne house
Absolutely smashing tour of the cellars seated in the self driving train. Some great facts about the caves and the history. And followed up with tastings of 3 of their best champagnes. Just remember to take a jumper - it's cold down there.

Superb value. Must do for first timers to Epernay
Can't add much more than previous reviews. 30 euros with 3 free tasting glasses is great value for money. Definitely a must do for first time visitors. Otherwise I would take a short drive to neighbouring villages where you can taste for free before buying. Very professional setup. It is 10C constantly in cellars and a relatively short journey so I was ok with shorts and my t-shirt. Jumper may be handy if you are prone to feel chilly! Enjoy!

    Nice people, great champagne
Nice experience, quite unique. The tour of the cave on an electric train is impressive, and the short vineyard lesson was really instructive. Good champagne, tasting, might be one of the best on the region.

We went today. A family of five (12, 9, 3). We did the cheapest tour which gave you one glass of champagne or juice for the kids at the end. Enjoyable tour, the kids enjoyed the lift down to the caves and the train. We bought some champagne afterwards in the shop. We then drove down the road to Epernay, parked up and had a walk around. Nice way to spend a few hours.

From Paris we traveled to the famous Champagne region, driving through the countryside with magnificent vineyards. In Champagne Mercier, an establishment down the main street, we learned about the process of this expensive bubbly delight, took pictures, rode the train with audio through the dark tunnels where they store the bottles. We all tasted different champage afterwards and left the cellars feeling happy.

We came in just to see the winery and check out the gift shop. It was a big place. The staff was helpful and the decor inside was nice.

Most probably the most unique tour with the lift and train. Its a different approach for them to show the cellar and organize the tour. Affordable products and tour.

Being a completely novice when it comes to champagne (never been a fan of the brut smell!) but it was our anniversary and we found ourselves in Epernay! As it’s the centre of the champagne world you have to take your pick of the houses and Mercier had a train that you could ride on for part of the tour of their facility. €60 for two with 3 champagne glasses each after a was a great Friday morning! Would be 5 stars if I’d seen more of the process from grape to bottle but being a champagne Luddite that probably would mean me staying there for a couple of years!
