I have seen a lot of cathedrals in France and this one is my favorite, from the outside at least. It was badly damaged during World War I and so the role of the cathedral in French history is fascinating. I definitely recommend touring the towers, which provide a view of the city as well as more in-depth information about... More

A place worth visiting for its significance and for the lovely stained glass. The architecture is beautiful and the plaza around nice for a stroll.

Lovely cathedral in Reims. Stain glass windows are magnificent, some by Chagall. Gothic masterpiece. Easy day trip from Paris and worth it. Reims is a darling place.

Beautiful. Popped over Friday evening during a stopover and v glad we did. Stunning architecture. There are loads of gorgeous things to look at in a small space so great for a mooch even at night.

Reims Notre-Dame Cathedral, an UNESCO World Heritage Site (including the 9thcentury Abbey of Saint Remi and the Tau Palace), is the magnificent Gothic cathedral where the kings of France were crowned. Along with the Chartres cathedral, I find the Notre-Dame de Reims one of the two most impressive cathedrals in France.

Vast inspiring place where 25 French kings were crowned, Look out for the 2 rose windows, modern and old stained glass (including the Dom Perignon Champagne window) and the spot where Clovis, king of the Franks, was baptised.

When we visited, the cathedral was actually in the middle of being cleaned and refreshed. There was a protective tarp across most of the front of the building, but the beauty as clearly evident. Mass was being said when we attended so we actually had a chance to bend our knee in prayer while we were there. It is clearly... More
