Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Interesting halls exhibiting art from the Renaissance to Neoclassicism, Art Deco and Impressionism. Paintings, sculptures, ceramics and furniture exposed in the various halls. Ground floor: Art Nouveau and Art Deco represented in decorative art and some paintings. First floor: Paintings from the 16th century and on: Renaissance, Neoclassicism, Impressionism, contemporary art. I spent like 2 hour to see it. It is not a large museum, and I stopped at almost every artwork. Gentle lady at the reception, that she spoke Spanish for me. Access fee was €$5.

It is a museum for the painting lovers! There are paints coming from the XV - XXI ages, mainly from the regional painters. In June-August 2014, the museum was closed for repairs and temporary expositions organization.

This is not a terribly exciting museum, but the price was great and it made for a dry stop on a rainy afternoon.

The museum is being packed up and most of the art work has been moved to the Pompidou Centre temporarily as the city is building a new modern building to house their comprehensive collection. Currently charging 3 euro entry but there is so little to see. The new building is scheduled to open in 2018.

This does not even deserve to be called a museum. Third rate art. Yes, there is one Monet, but it is not worth going through everything else. it looked as if they were packing the place up, plastic and crates everywhere...amazingly unprofessional. Honestly, I am surprised it is even mentioned in the guidebooks. So not worth it. "Death of Marat" was not there, history of Champagne not open. Did I mention you should avoid this attraction? You will thank me, really.

Entrance at 3 euros includes a carnet for other museums in the city. We went on a Sunday afternoon. The collection is limited, the Corot's were not open and there is poor accessibility for those with mobility difficulties - a large grand staircase seems the only way to the upper floors. The staff speak French very quickly and didn't make allowances for my lack of fluency. It is set in a pleasant building, and is near the Cathedral. If you have a little spare time look in possibly, but don't expect too much

We went on a free Sunday. There was only a very small part of the Museum open, so we didn't see any of the works we would like to have seen. It might be worth checking how much is open before you decide to visit. A city of the size and standing of Reims should do much better than this.

This is a small museum but their collection of Impressionists is well worth the small 3 euro entry. The impressionist period is my favourite and I loved the selection in Reims.

For a provincial museum i's very good. The first surprise was the famous Death of Marat by David. I'm not a fan of David so didn't expect to see this iconic painting there. They have a few Delacroix paintings, some French impressionists, of course, but an absolute delight was to see a canvas by Fritz Thaulow. Very nice collection.

This is small museum, so take the time to enjoy its decorative pieces and samples of classic and modern art. This museum also suffered its share of loss during WWI. Chilling are the notes under some paintings indicating that they are in the custody of museum while waiting for verification of the true owners ... since WWII.

Any update on when more of the art will be on exhibit again? I last heard June of 2015. But I've also heard 2018. I'll be in Reims this December. Just wondering, Thank you
