FIrst of all there is a beautiful 19th century English style faux chateau that houses the offices and production site. This distiller has a long and prestigious history too and in addition they have a wonderful contemporary art exhibit throught the place which adds a nice spice to the hour long tour. A well rounded and very interesting visit.

A few things to be aware of. 1. This is a very long walk from the train. While do-able, it's not a scenic walk either. 2. Keep in mind that there is nowhere to purchase food or water here. And no option to drink other than the 1-2 glasses you have pre-purchased as part of your tour package. There also... More

I have visited the Pommery Caves on a number of previous occasions but today's guide was utterly rude, I suspect because he thought we were English (which we are not). My french is fair and I was happy to attend a tour in French. Before the tour started I was told not to complain that the tour would be in... More

While Pommery is certainly one of the large houses, we find it worthwhile given its fascinating history, the chalk caverns in which you descend for the tour and the art which Madame Pommery commissioned as well as new art installations. Tours can be crowded and it is more about the general champagne process, what one learns is more about the... More

Fantastic tour, with a guide that has good English. All fairly tightly scripted but a good hour. The old Roman quarry sites make fantastic locations, not just for champagne to age, but to reflect, and the art work in the larger spaces is a great find. Pay the extra 10 euros have the two glasses - the grand cru Champagne... More

Highly recommend a cave tour at Pommery! Guide was very knowledgeable, caves were very interesting with art installations, and the sampling was delicious. Well worth the cost.

At first a feeling of being in a turist trap. However in the end, it was a must discvover, with an excellent presentation. I really appreciated the guide!

Wow what a building and grounds magnificent. Front desk reception was very friendly. The shop had some good stuff at good prices. The tour it self was the best out of all of them we had seen, the steps down to the cave had a light show very impressive. Once inside the caves OMG so much to see full of... More

Pommery Champagne house has become a part of mass tourism site in 25 years. If you haven't seen any of the champagne houses earlier it is definitely worth a visit. Attracting large masses it's not acceptable that visitors cannot buy anything to eat or drink in this neighborhood, not even a bottle of water. So be prepared. Pommery could sell... More

Our group leader of 8 had made a reservation but it seemed like it was not registrated, not a good start. He was asked to show the mail with the booking but had left his mobile in the car which was parked too far to fetch it. I thought it not very considerate not to look it up yourself being... More
