Great sightseeing tour around the centre of Ajaccio, including the old port and steep cobbled backstreets and down the narrow street where Napoleon lived, packed with pavement cafés and restaurants, so close that we could have helped ourselves to the olives! There was a stop off for photos at the Napoleon monument where there was a good value souvenir shop.... More

Instead of spending EUR10 for a braindead train ride, wasting precious time & money, you better stroll through town, watch people, go to the market, have a bite in a little bistro and eventually do 2-3 sightseeing "highlights" yourself. Either the town has definitely nothing to offer & see/visit or the Le Petit Train d'Ajaccio is just here to rip... More

This little train is the one with a dozen or so carriages that travels along roads with commentary for tourists. The accommodation was fairly basic, a flimsy thin chain serving as a door between you and busy main roads, while the "train" whizzed along at about 50km/h, weaving its way in and out of heavy traffic. The commentary was fairly... More

Very beautiful town with plenty souvenir shops. Le Petit train was a fantastic way to see this small town. Only 7 euros per adult for almost an hour ride with a 10 min stop to take photos of Napoleon. Town bustling with cafes and restaurants. Very lovely atmosphere.

Sadly we were unable to take the train due to the ticket office's poor communication. We arrived at 1130 to be told the next tour was at 1230 and we could buy tickets 10 minutes before. We returned at 1215 and told that the train was too full and that it was our fault because we didn't want to buy... More

The train takes passengers from the harbour and market area up to the monument of Napoleon at the top of the town as well as around some of the nearby streets which are so narrow that you could literally shake hands with the people sitting at the tables in the street cafes alongside you. There is little history given in... More

M wife and I had spent a few days in Ajaccio on vacation prior to taking the train. We thought that the train would increase our learning and appreciation for Ajaccio. However, the train was more of a waste of time than anything else. The driver did not do anything other than drive. There was a pre recorded announcements on... More

Don't miss this sweet little train which will take you out of Ajaccio to the Iles de Sanguinaires. Good value for money and a lot to see on the way. Great for children.

We were amazed at how far the train took us. Not just around the town and to Napoleon's birthplace but also up the coast. We were given time to take photographs and explore the scenery. Driver made it fun by weaving on the road. We were in the last seats in the last coach was a fun ride with English... More
