Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An unusual church building in the city. It's right on the river in a wealthy area and it serves the Russian community. Take a look.

A modern architecture with a perfect fusion of russian orthodox churches. The building outside is unique and marvellous attracting the sight seeing from far when on the river Seine bridge. It composes a beautiful scenery with Eiffel tower and the river.
The simple square sandy walls and the gold bulbs on top are so stunning.
Unfortunately I was not there at the time I could visit inside. You may plan to go after 2pm. The guard at the entrance a nice Russian man made my day with a great conversation of 15minutes.

Every time I visit Paris I find something new. This time it was the case with this ultra modern Orthodox Cathedral.
I was really shocked when I saw it 10 min away from the Eiffel, so wanted to explore.
This Russian Church opened only 4 y ago and I have mixed impressions about it. While such avangarde style fits Paris, I don't find the same for the Russian Orthodox Church.

Intriguing building with quite mixed feelings about it. On the one hand it's really an eye-catcher, but on the other hand I'm not really sure whether it should be, and if yes than is for a right reason.

An impressive, modern building in Paris by architect Jean Wilmotte. The entrance is free and you will be amazed by the ornaments inside the cathedral. It's a true work of art which opened its doors in 2016. It's very near to the Eiffel tower, so you can easily combine the two to have a cultural and spiritual experience.

A truly beautiful choir, great reverence and a spiritual atmosphere. It’s easy for those of us who are Orthodox, but the atmosphere was welcoming and very family friendly for any visitors. They have a lovely gift shop and the attached art gallery had a program but didn’t open until 2pm.

Holy Trinity Cathedral and The Russian Orthodox Spiritual and Cultural Center is a relatively new complex that consists of 4 buildings in Paris, France. It was built between 2013-2016 and opened March, 2016. It is very rare to see such a modern cathedral so it is certainly worth the detour if you are nearby!

This is an interesting piece of architecture, but it left me with mixed feelings about it. Yes, their golden domes shining on the pale skies of Paris are really beautiful when you see them at a distance. In adittion, I think that a brand-new contemporary religious building is supposed to strongly appeal one´s attention somehow, as this kind of architecture seems to belong to the past. In this particular case, I would say, to start with, that the service provided to the public was so-so, they didn´t comply well with opening hours, the public were left stranded in the street for almost half an hour before they opened the doors.
As far as the interiors are concerned, this church has beautiful simple and spacious lines, remarkable icons and an enormous chandelier, but I was really taken aback about the rest. There is a wall, supposed to be the main element, with colourful paintings, but it looked fake -as if made of plaster or bricks- and it doesn´t raise up to the ceiling: apparently the building has another wing behind it. On this wall, the so-called marble columns, as well as its carved moldings are painted or perhaps printed. I found it all strange, but I guessed it´s just a temporary solution, as if the church wasn´t completed yet. Nonetheless, most of the public I saw there seemed to come just for devotion, unperturbed by the tourists, so apparently they didn´t pay any attention to the artistic or architectural aspects of the place, as an common onlooker. All in all, I would call this a original place, but not a must.
