I had been wanting to visit this museum for a long time and I finally had the chance in March. This is a wonderful museum, discreet and reasonably small. There is little on the outside apart from the identification of the museum, so no big advertising boards or placards. The museum is easily accessible on the Metro (station La Muette).... More

Musée Marmottan Monet, on the west side of Paris, is definitely worth a visit. Plan about 2 hours for optimum viewing. It's a bit off the beaten path, but well worth a Métro ride and about 10 to 15 minutes walking through a well-kept and safe park. There is a permanent collection of paintings by Monet and by Berthe Morisot.... More

A wonderful collection of artwork of Monet, with the painting that gave impressionism its name. You can read about Monet' s life and how he lived, there is a nice souvenir shop.A very good museum with a nice atmosphere. Children have to pay here, because it's private.

If you love Monet, this is the place for you! So many beautiful Monet's from throughout the years. Other options include Berthe Morisot...perfect afternoon exploring this former hunting lodge and viewing masterpieces.

This is a small exquisite museum with Monet and period furniture. Make sure to take a walk in the wonderful park and through the neighborhoods nearby to get a feel for the gracious part of Paris life.

As a Monet fan I couldn't believe that I only heard about this place by chance. It has got the most fantastic collection of Monets. We could see everything properly as the place wasn't crowded at all. We also loved the Monet, Much and Hodler exhibition which was very popular and consequently was the busiest part of the gallery. Beautiful... More

A surprising number of works of art in this significant museum. The mansion, a work of art in itself, provides a magnificent backdrop for the work of Monet and others. Beautifully maintained and curated space in an equally beautiful neighborhood. While a bit out of the way, this is an extremely enjoyable and worthwhile stop in Paris.

We saw works from Monet, Munch & Hodler and it was quite an experience. It took us about 2 hours to look at their works but can easily spend half a day there. The museum is situated near parks and the 16th Arrondissement was a pleasure to walk through, as we ventured to the museum from the Eiffel Tower via... More
