Of course we have to visit The Louvre and of course we have to The Monalisa! To be honest, I prefer Museum D'Orsay. Nothing I can add that has not been said already about this place. We went in the evening (Friday) when they stayed...More

A must is skip-the- line tickets! You can purchase these at your hotel or little travel shops throughout the city. Costs 2-3 more euros, but soooo worth it! See the Mona Lisa, as well as many other works of art; both paintings and statues! It...More

Not sure how to review the Louvre - it's a must-see when visiting Paris. It gets busy around the Mona Lisa etc. But there are also hidden gems.

We did a nice full day on this last trip. You can't see everything, so don't try. Pick a target (or five) and see them, and wander aimlessly between the targets. You'll see an amazing amount of great art, objects, and artifacts. The Islamic Art...More

My review will hardly do justice to the expansive museum. Don't even try to do it in one day. One of our tour guides indicated it would take nine months to see every exhibit taking seven seconds to review each. We spent several hours and...More

Louvre / Palais-Royal
From the majestic Louvre to the regal Palais-Royal,
this neighbourhood oozes luxury. The grand arches
along Rue de Rivoli are shadowed by mosaics in front
of decorated vitrines and hotels. Place Vendôme is
lined with the world’s best jewelers and their
glittering window displays. Every other establishment
has someone to open the door for you or park your car.
You can spend hours gazing at its haute couture shops
