We visited in early November, and there was no queue in the morning. There were huge tourists goups taking photos in front of famous materpieces but they go down after they are done with Mona Lisa. There was one more floor above this eventhough the stairs were a bit hard to find. On the top floor, there were many more... More

The Louve is breathtaking. You cannot see it in one day. If you only have a short time, be sure to visit the Mona Lisa.

I have always dreamt of going to see the Mona Lisa since I was a little girl! It was amazing to have it come true! I love art and it gets fairly busy just for people who want to see the tourist pieces but a wonderful gallery none the less.

We booked tour with Viator and our guide was excellent! I can't imagine going there without a guide. She was thoroughly knowledgeable about everything we saw. It was an evening tour November 25 and not as crowded as it would be in the daytime. She made sure everyone had time to get a good look at the Mona Lisa painting,... More

This place is huge and it may take you days to go around but if you really want to get your money's worth plan for at least half a day. We weren't museum lovers but wanted to see the Mona Lisa which didn't take long. It's a beautiful walk through the park right in front of the museum to get... More

with an overwhelming amount of exhibits, be sure to mark your must-sees, map it and knock it out. some in our group paid a lot (around $60 for a kid-oriented tour/hunt with a guide for 6 ppl and really enjoyed it). the food court was kinda unique. just be sure to go to the free toilets before you leave the... Fantastic. I visited with my family in July 2015. Don't be deterred by the long winding lines, it moves extremely fast. There is so much to see, that you may need to return a second day. Make sure to have comfortable shoes because the aisles are very wide, meaning that to appreciate the paintings or statues on either side means... More

The Louvre is spectacular in its variety and quality of sculpture and painting. I only have one complaint. When I visited the Louvre in 1970, I spent 3 hours entranced by the Winged Victory of Samothrace. She was positioned in a black marble staircase that enhanced the beauty of her creamy marble complexion. Now she is elevated on what looks... More

Wow what a museum. Words quite begin to describe how large it is, so wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking and steps. It's best to pre book as the queues can be quite long. Also be prepared to wait to see the Mona Lisa as there are the inevitable queues of people taking photos and selfies.
