Was in Printemps shopping. My wife left a fur trimmed hat on the sofa of the Channel shop when we left. She realized the next day where she had left it, and we went back the next day. The staff at Channel were very helpful. The manager said she did find it and even remembered exactly where it was left.... More

Went there to have a coffee with my wife after a meeting. Surprisingly this brasserie on the 6th floor was very quite (5PM on a Friday during the Sales), the coupole amazing and beautiful. Can't tell about the food but worth going there to give it a try.

Spellbinding Christmas puppet show window displays. Pavement deep with adults enjoying and photographing the spectacle. A lovely touch was the raised wooden staging against the Windows at child height giving even the smallest child a safe and perfect view. This was even before entering this beautiful store. Icing on our cake was the wonderful view from the roof top cafe... More

The shopping center itself is not as beautiful as Galeries Lafayette, which is right next door, but it has an impressive restaurant on the top floor.

Visiting Paris, I love to visit the grand old department stores on Bld Haussmann. Printemps is one of the best at any time of year. Even if you don't buy a thing, it's fun to walk through the various departments and dream. You can also visit the rooftop for excellent views of the Opéra as well as over Paris. Have... More

I like going to this place than Gallerie Lafayette. This shopping place has less people and it's easier to shop around.

This is the most amazing dept store I have ever been in. It is an experience to walk through. Not the shop for most ordinary people to be able to afford anything ..very exclusive. And huge. There are 2 Printemps in Paris. It's in a league all its own.Harrods doesn't compare.

The department store buildings and rooftop are great. Lots of space on the roof in December--I imagine it is jammed pack in summer. We had soft drinks and desserts, but the free view is what it is all about.

This is a very high end shopping mall that covers all the fashion brands. A very spectacular building and it certainly seems t be popular with the locals.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
