Nice street with a lot of cafes and bars. Unfortunately, we did not have the time to visit all. There is a Marks and Spencer Simply Food supermarket near metro Alésia.

Very pleasant area, not touristy. Paris for the Parisians, great place to wander and window shop. South of the river this is a residential area with tree lined streets and cafes etc.

Just back from a week staying on the Avenue du Général Leclerc off Place d'Alésia. Delightful neighborhood where as other reviewers have noted, large groups of tourists are largely absent. But, this is still Paris, there are still tourists. I very much enjoyed the beauty...More

We were stayed around the corner and loved this area. It's got everything. You must see the man who sells the really reasonably priced huge baguettes on the way to the metro. We got lunch from him every day his crepes are also amazing

Rue d'Alesia is a long street that traverses the 14th arrondissement in Paris. A combination of residential, shopping & commercial use, it is one of the major streets in Paris. Not particularly a tourist destination.

Nice avenue, with little lots of things to see and do. Hotels, restaurants, cafés, old buildings and churches with beautiful architecture. A very nice and price-balanced zone to stay in Paris.

Not the greatest review I can give (as I used to live nearby) but keep in mind it's closed on Sundays. Other than that it's a great place to shop at discount stores (for clothes) and is in a quiet, pleasant area away from the...More

It still looks more like a neighborhood shopping are, not too fancy, so the prices. There are several small shops with clothing, shoes and I even found a good wine store. I also stopped by a Cafe in a corner for a pause. Very calm...More

Our hotel is conveniently located around this side of town. You'll see mostly locals instead of tourist which is nice too since I felt like I was a Parisian even for just a couple of days. Not a lot of people speak english around this...More
