If you are a nature lover, I would recommend a visit of this Parc but you have to keep in mind there are much better ones in Paris.

If it was in another city, it may be a good place but there is so much to see I'm Paris that this park is simply not worth visiting in my opinion.

This park is not in the traditional tourist circuit, but is well worth a visit, even in a cold winter day.

Around the parc there are streets you don't even realise you're in Paris, the Parc is just different then the rest, very beautiful and nice atmosphere.

A fantastic park that offers unique views of the Paris skyline, and can also be a refuge from the endless hustle and bustle of Paris.

A great place to go to get away from all the tourists. More of a locals parc. Great local neighborhood.

"Le Parc des Buttes-Chaumont" has been extensively renovated since the last two years and is really worth a visit whatever the season. This isn't a flat place and you'll have to walk a lot but that's a charming place where to go while visiting Paris. Start your walk from the subway station "Colonel Fabien" and you'll be able to have... More

In the 19th arrondisment, closer to the outskirts of the city than most tourist dare venture, there is a park. This park is absolutely fantastic, with many different views of the city and hidden gems of nature hiding for you to discover. The tower on the island in the middle of the lake is but the most obvious of them,... More

Staying in Belleville / Pere Lachaise

Neighbourhood Profile
Belleville / Pere Lachaise
At the eastern edge of Paris lies Belleville / Père Lachaise, an understated wonderland of local treasures. Alongside the world-famous cemetery, family-owned delicatessens and cafés nestle between local stores and establishments. The richness of the population here has created a little Chinatown of Asian restaurants, and the area comes to life at night by a funky underground scene. Façades change from one street to another as one passes from white walled provincial homes to tall blocks and reconverted homes. The whole area is an inspirational mix of people from all corners of the world frequented by artists, students, immigrants, and Parisian families. Once home to supporters of the Paris commune, its rebellious nature is now offset by its rural charms.
