Serene and away from the hoarding masses of Marais tourists. This is worth checking out from Holybelly post-brunch. The philharmonic hall is beautiful.

This is one of the places where Parisians spend their summer days having picnics and for other fun. In the park you can find Europe's largest museum of science, and several cultural venues and concerts halls.

The Grand Halle at the Parc de la Villette is a good spacious hall that allowed for a large exhibition of the 50 years of Bond movies. The exhibition itself was nicely designed, with the costumes, cars, props and models all used in the various Bond films. I liked the organisation of the exhibits so that moving or still clips... This is a great place, people sitting at the quai, people dancing and drinking on the quai, pedal boats, party boats, a beach and cinemas, the Basin has got it all! You can hang out at this place all day without ever getting bored, nice!

It was such a warm day in Paris when we visited the park. It is a great place for kids and my little brother got to play in an awesome water park for kids to cool down. There's a science centre there too which the whole family enjoyed (especially the kid's area). Totally recommended for your stay!

We went to the parc to meet the 2016 delegation of TEAM Rynkeby from Denmark, and realised afterwards that we have a arrived in a true treasure of Paris. Things to do for all tastes and ages, with outdoor fitness, jam sessions, open air cinema and a kids' amusement park (temporary!). It was lovely to stroll through and soak it... More

A nice park to explore, with many things to see and do. Only visit when the weather is nice though. Don't forget to visit the old slaughterhouse, a locality that plays a key role in The Saboteur computer game!

This parks works on many levels but totally fails on others. There are many interesting spaces for children to play and if you come on a weekend it may be filled with locals. We particularly liked the Dune and Wind Garden. There is also a Dragon Garden with unique slides and a mirror garden. On the fails part there are... More

Took a taxi out to this park expecting something special, only to find that it was pretty industrial and not very pretty at all. The best bit was the submarine which you could visit with an audio guide.

Staying in La Villette

Neighbourhood Profile
La Villette
This futuristic landscape has come to define the northeast of Paris. The Saint-Denis canal is framed with luscious lawns and metallic buildings over a wide-open space. Home to Europe's largest science museum, this area rewards daytime and nighttime explorations; there are three concert spaces, plus cinemas and bars, and even open-air cinema in the summer. The surrounding homes are a sharp contrast to the futuristic space. Though on the outskirts of Paris, La Villette is worth the short Metro ride from the centre.
