Visited the 7-12 part with our 6 year old. Expensive (25 euros for the 2 adults 1 kid) for 1.5 hour. Many stations broken/closed. The whole thing is quite old, run down, and not very interesting... I doubt any child above 7 would find it interesting... In another note, All the staff in the entire building seemed so ininterested and... More

We visited with our 5 year old on a rainy day. While educational, the museum lacked the quantity of interactive and play areas that I expected. The ticket situation is very confusing. There is no category to buy a ticket that get's you access to all areas. We had to piece a few options together. The 2-7 play area did... More

We visited La Cite de Enfants as well as the Parc de la Villette during our recent trip to Paris with our family (4 adults, 4 kids all under 5) and had a FANTASTIC time! The kids loved the activities indoors at La Cite des Enfants but also the rides, slides, etc outside in the park. We took a picnic... More

As for the Cite des Enfants itself, it is kind of a disappointment. There are five spaces. They are fun, indeed, but not much more than a nice playground. Also time is limited - you have 1,5 hour to use any of the five areas and then it is over. An extra letdown was the fact that we paid full... More

We went to Cite des Enfants with our two children aged 9 and 6. This place is basically an an area with fun and educative activities for kids, where they get to go around the various exhibits for around two hours. It was a welcome break from the touristic activities for them, and they enjoyed very much the water games,... More

Every time I went to Paris with my son when he was a child, this was one of our fav places. You can spend a whole day because there is much to see and do. It's fun for children and for adults as well.

It is an ideal place to spend time for a family. It stimulates the mind of children through playing to pass the scientific information through games and playing. It is better to arrive early to have the opportunities to watch all the shows and activities in the city. Only that to be know that most of the shows are in... More

Staying in La Villette

Neighbourhood Profile
La Villette
This futuristic landscape has come to define the northeast of Paris. The Saint-Denis canal is framed with luscious lawns and metallic buildings over a wide-open space. Home to Europe's largest science museum, this area rewards daytime and nighttime explorations; there are three concert spaces, plus cinemas and bars, and even open-air cinema in the summer. The surrounding homes are a sharp contrast to the futuristic space. Though on the outskirts of Paris, La Villette is worth the short Metro ride from the centre.
