About
Luxembourg Gardens is a charming oasis in the heart of Paris, loved by both locals and travelers alike. With 55 acres of manicured gardens, it's the perfect place to unwind and soak up the Parisian atmosphere. You can admire the beautifully arranged flower beds, towering trees, and the grand Luxembourg Palace which overlooks the gardens. In the summer, the park is great for picnics and family outings. Be sure to check out the pétanque (lawn bowling) and chess areas, too. To learn more about the park's rich history, consider joining a walking tour of the gardens. – Tripadvisor

A great beutiful park of Paris
Do wander around this park. You will see Parisian playing chess, pick up basketball... You will see beautiful flowers and perfectly straight lines of trees. A beautiful ordinary park to see a part of living in Paris.

    Lovely Garden
Beautiful garden and perfect for strolling or people watching too. There are other activities such as sailing a small boat in the pond, riding a pony, watching lawn bowling or having a picnic. The flowers are also beautiful as are the trees. It is 57 acres and worth a visit. I love how the public accesses and uses the various gardens throughout the city too. It is wonderful to see.

    Beautiful Paris Park
Beautiful park on the left bank. Lots of places to sit, people watch, enjoy the colorful flowers and take a break from busy Paris. There’s also a little restaurant with of course outdoor seating.

A great spot for a relaxing break
I am not sure about the negative reviews but this is a really lovely park to walk around. So many nice sculptures and little "pocket" gardens. A great place for families with kids. We went twice just to enjoy the beautiful weather. Generations together enjoying the boat pond and the carousel. You can just pull up a chair, sit and people watch. Our last morning was a Sunday and we made a point to go and sit and just enjoy the place. A wonderful memory to take home.

    Beautiful garden for families
A lovely and historic garden close to the centre of Paris. Sailing the little boats in the central fountain is a children’s pastime that has been happening for a century. The Medici fountain and the Greek Actor are just some of the sculpture highlights. Shady trees for summer days!

Nice tranquil gardens amidst the bustling Paris City
Really nice garden! We visited the Pantheon and later walked to the gardens. It is close by. It is free to enter. There are chairs surrounding the pondds inside and it is really nice to sit there. Walking along the gardens is cool too and you can easily spend an two hours, strolling and admiring the flowers and sculptures in the garden and walking around the small ponds, and take pics. It will be a great place to have a picnic in too.

Beautiful garden (park) with so many statues
My wife and I went there 7 times on this trip. The garden was kept very well, beautiful plants and wonderful old trees all around. The park is peppered by beautiful statues. Many places to sit and just enjoy the scenery. Loved that place.

Beautiful gardens with views of lovely palace
These are gorgeous gardens to stroll round or have a picnic in. There are benches everywhere, shaded areas, a wooded area, and a little cafe. No dogs are allowed. it was a really tranquil oasis in the heart of such a busy and noisy city. The Palace is beautiful but it's not open to the public.

    My happy place!
Beautiful gardens with chairs available to read, sunbathe, people watch. So much going on. Joggers, Tai chi, chess, tennis, basketball, pony rides and little sail boats for the kids, plus restaurants. Fountains and sculptures are amazing. I returned there many times during our stay.

    Parisian life
You get a glimpse into the life of the Parisian intellectual and well to do crowd. Gorgeous gardens, surrounded by several great neighborhoods (St Michel, Pantheon, St Germain etc.). Come relatively early, bring a book, get a chair, relax and look at people. If you have kids you can rent toy boats to play with on the "bassin". The playground is the most sophisticated I've ever seen. They charge a small fee.

This place was probably the most spectacular inner-city gardens I have seen. Jardins de Luxembourg was the name, and it apparently was an old castle/mansion whose owners donated the gardens to the City. (I did not know it at the time of our visit, but learned that the French Senate now uses the mansion as its seat.)

Green grass fields, flower-filled gardens, pathways, trees, tennis courts, sandboxes, merry-go-rounds, horse-back riding for kids, to name a few of the amenities. In the center was the mansion with the grounds fronting it - a huge fountain/pond, statues, and well-manicured lawns. While it did not seem crowded at all, there were probably thousands of visitors and children enjoying the park. Even though tired from the long walk, we had fun exploring many parts of the park. It even had a small-scale Statue of Liberty with a plaque noting the history of the statue and the gift to America.

Walked round here and everything was very neat and pretty even though it was a cold February day. Lots of chairs to sit, places to get a coffee and chairs everywhere. I bet it’s fabulous in the summer.

This classy garden is an oasis in the heart of Paris. Unfortunately we didn’t stay long as we ended up visiting on one of the hottest days of the year, but we saw enough to see how well kept it was, particularly the flowers. Really recommend

Nice gardens which are worth a visit if you are in the Latin Quarter. Great place to relax with lots of seating to enjoy the park and watch the world go by.

You will get some great views of the Pantheon while in the gardens and less than 15 15-minute walk from the River Seine. Although it's well-connected to the Metro.

Ideal for a stroll in Paris in the early morning or late afternoon. A brief reprieve from the commotion and clamour of the metropolis. Because of its position in the midst of Paris and the fact that it is in the Latin Quarter, it is an excellent site to make a brief halt in order to rest your feet after taking a lengthy stroll around the lovely Latin neighbourhood. The cathedral of Notre Dame, the Pantheon, and the Seine river are all within a few minutes' walking distance from one another.

Large park. French lawn rules, sit on some, not on others! Lots of eating stalls. View of the Palace. Lots of statues but little obvious explanatory plaques. Big place for French runners. Too large to visit fully for us, feel we missed lots!

Hiring boats at the boating pond was probably the highlight of our seven year old's trip to Paris. It has us all smiling, waiting to see which way the wind would take the boat.
The play area was good too.
