Wasn't really a bad seat in the whole place. This was our first experience seeing an Opera and we were delighted with the sound and view. If we were in town longer we would visit again.

Visiting the opera does not come cheaply, but the experience is wonderful. Opera Bastille is located at the Place de la Bastille, a fairly modern venue, and not to be confused with the Opera House in the heart of the city. The performance we attended...More

Although we understand that the Opera house is closed in August we were disappointed to find the shop was also closed for the duration. The theatre itself is fabulous and the shop is great but don't try to go now!

A terrific architecture design - adventurous design which should be practiced more in the UK - why are we so boring. Go and visit - decide you want to visit Paris and see the modern buildings all the others are old hat - do something...More

Went to a performance of modern dance "Drumming Live" with two boys. First the opera has that modern setting that is less intimidating and more inviting than the old Opera Garnier while at the same time keeping that very French Atmosphere. Then the show itself...More

We went to see Eugene Onegin a few weeks ago. The building itself offers outstanding facilities. The design of the performance hall makes hearing and seeing at their best from anywhere you are seated. The stage settings, costumes, stage direction and singing were all of...More

An excellent venue for enjoying an opera performance. The building has good amenities in addition to good acoustics and sight lines. The performances can be outstanding, but the staging can sometimes seem a bit weird to Americans not familiar with European adventurism.

We visited Paris Opera in May. Overall opera has modern style with nothing fabulous but just good enough to enjoy concerts... Good idea to put subtitles on top of scene. Prices in bar crazy expensive like in all other concert halls. Eugenia Onegin opera with...More

Myself and my boyfriend went to the Paris Opera house to see Lohengrin. We loved every minute of it, it was a very touching and exciting experience. The opera is beautiful, the seats that we chose were very good as well. The subtitles made it...More

Bastille / Oberkampf
Bastille and Oberkampf are lively parts of town made
for entertainment. During the day rows of unassuming
bars welcome customers for a bite or a drink, but it’s
at night this area really comes to life. Students and
young professionals fill the busy bars around Bastille
and Oberkampf. At Place de la Bastille, crowds flock
to the Opéra Bastille in the evening and groups wait
for coveted tickets during the day. Towards

And by the way, I propose that you reserve a romantic diner for two in restaurant "Le petit Bofinger, 6 Rue de la Bastille" nearby the opera building. If you specify in advance you are going to an opera performance that... More

The time of the interval is included in the performance time; normally an interval is 30 minutes. However, since your spectacle is very short, the interval may be slightly cut--but I doubt it. In any case, duration of... More

It says on their Website that the sale for Swan Lake opens on 9 Nov, so I would think that if you check back then, you should be able to buy tickets.
