Montmartre is a 30min metro ride away from the centre of Paris. No line for entrance and no charging fee. Beautiful and worth a visit. The dome will cost you 6eur for entrance. Not too busy lines but definitely worth the 300marches up the top....More

Short walk from the Metro and worth walking up the 300 plus stairs. Inside and out, like most cathedrals visited, was a architectural wonder to behold. You can’t take photos once you get in, so know that. The area leading up the hill was sketchy....More

Love this place and the atmosphere. Much safer than it used to be on previous visits but still have to be very wary.

Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and
styles which changes from one street to another. Ride
the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the
steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the
Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The
church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano
bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers
thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy

The metro tickets are valid for 2 hours from first activation, so your train ticket to Anvers will probably get you up the funicular, maybe down too.

It is free to get in. Six euros to go up the tower. If you wish to light a candle the suggested amount is three euros.
