Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and
styles which changes from one street to another. Ride
the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the
steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the
Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The
church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano
bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers

We recently visited place due tertre and bought a couple pieces of art. We really enjoy having them. We did not get the name of the artist who does both ink sketches and watercolors. Can anybody tell me how to find a complete list of current artists? It was a fun day, good atmosphere

I do not really know. However, can you not email the town hall and ask them for a list of the artists. Best luck. 0 seconds ago

When is the best time to see the place du tertre? I would like to see the steps of sacre de coeur at sunset/night to see the city, but I've heard the best time to visit place du tertre is the morning to beat the crowds - what do you think the best way to visit the two? Weekend or weekday? I am visiting in December.

It's a personal choice, of course. But in December the biggest factor will be the weather. Both the Place du Tertre and the basilica steps will be pretty dreary in the rain. The chances of a stunning sunset are not as... More
