This is the venue for the Paris parkrun. It's only a few months old and most of the runners are Brit tourists. In sure it will grow to be hugely popular. There were a lot of French running groups using the forest but not parkrunning....More

Someone suggested my husband and I go here for a run. Said it was safe during the day and "like Central Park in NYC"...Well, it was neither. It was overgrown and prostitutes were in several places. I would never have gone there had I known...More

Have been there on a Friday afternoon @ found it super quiet , with lots of nice features . There is a wood and quite a few ponds you will definitely enjoy. A jewel compared to other Parisian parks which are more like squares with...More

The Bois contains forest area that is well organized with road and paths. There are designed spaces including waterfalls and many gardens. At least one classy restaurant. A huge rose garden. Play lots for kids. It's huge.

I ran 14 miles around the park from La Defense. It is full of serene paths, lakes and gardens with people in the summer reading, relaxing and walking. Really surprised me and totally worth an hour or so of your time during the day. Contrasts...More

Thought we’d have a nice walk through the park. It is a big park and there are some nice parts. However, it is surrounded by prostitutes in transit vans with red scarves hanging out and shifty men lurking about. I felt scared and unsafe. It...More

Best place to go and have a picnic. Nature is beautiful. That place have a bad reputation and some parts are quite dirty and with trash but is still beautiful.

If you’re broke and need a break from the stuffy city and annoying tourists, head over the the Bois de Boulogne. It’s bigger than Central Park and beautiful. There are horse back riding options but they’re pretty expensive and English saddle only. Bring your own...More

Our air bnb had a wonderful view of the park, which was great because we had parkrun and a 10k to attend to that weekend. It’s clean, plenty of shade and has at least two metro at top and bottom ends.

A remnant of an ancient oak forest, once a royal park for hunting and a monastery, this extensive park is only a couple of stops on the metro from the Arc de Triomphe. It is a popular place for walking and within the park there...More

This huge park on the western side of Paris is a real favourite with locals and tourists. There are many activities and some eateries in the park however on a sunny day a picnic is best and watch the world go by.

There are 400 000 trees planted in the 19th Century. There are various gardens and 15km of cycle paths and 28km of bridle paths for horse riding and 125 hectares of forested lands. Best to visit during the day only. Lots of hookers after dark.
