Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

While in Paris I went on the hunt for the best macarons I could find - I'm a huge fan of Damyel in the 4th, but it was closed this past Saturday along with most of the Jewish Quarter and so we looked around elsewhere and came to Richart on the back of TripAdvisor recommendations. Wow, did we make the right choice. The store itself is small and unassuming, but the macaron are INCREDIBLE - you can buy the normal size, but they also have boxes of miniatures if you'd like to try as many flavours as possible and also the rarely seen full-size which I didn't buy but they certainly looked interesting. Definitely worth a visit, for somewhere near the Tower Eiffel it was empty with the exception of ourselves, which meant unlike some places (...Laduree) you have the time to talk to the makers and choose what you would like.

I crave this delicious macarons almost daily. Thank God they have a website so I can keep ordering them! I stumbled upon this shop while out walking and fell in love. The amount of flavor they pack into one small bite is incredible. Oh, and the chocolate! Save extra room in your suitcase just for this place. And when you get home, bookmark their website so you can enjoy memories of your trip!

Although Richard originates in Lyon, it still is a Parisian must, and the little shop on Rue Bonaparte as one walks between St. Germain and the Seine, is a must to visit. The packaging is French-perfect, the service is genuine and helpful, the macarons and chocolate outstanding.... Bring home a taste of Paris, for yourselves and for friends. Make sure to refrigerate your macarons, and said to buy them until you're ready to leave... unless you live in Paris. Then just go back often!

No more Lauderee or La Madison du Chocolat for us. My son and I happened upon this place on St. Germain to seek air conditioning...the blonde lady working there was so nice and friendly and allowed us to seek shelter from the record high heatwave...she helped us pick out the right ice cream and let us try some tastey chocolate and because she was so nice I decided to do her kindness by ordering some macaroons.....wow!!! These are extraordinary! I am definitely buying these for Christmas gifts not lauderee or Maison du chocolate like I usually do...these are my new fave! Thank you kind pretty blonde Parisian lady for taking in some strange Americans and introducing us to this wonderful wonderland of macaroon goodness! Longues aimables parisiens vivent!

I went here because of a National Geographic list of the best chocolatiers in the world. I was not let down. They have great chocolate. And the girl working here was very nice. She did mention that they also ship internationally if you are to place an order via email.

Richart had a whole window display of its macarons in 4 sizes: jumbo, reg, mini, & micro!
They were the most adorable & cutest display of its colorful and delicious treats. Richart specializes in the micro sizes for chocolates and macarons (or microrons!), and the presentation & all-white packaging are both gorgeous. We went to the store on Rue Bonaparte in Saint-Germain and this store is open 7 days a week (a rarity in Paris) with friendly staff, and it's very convenient for gift shopping. We wish that we had bought more to bring home, don't miss this great store!

This is by far one of the most delicious chocolates retailers to come across. While the pricing might be higher than some other locations, the quality and taste justify any increased cost.

Chocolate and its impact on health may be documented; however, this location is living proof that, virtue isn't virtue, without vice". Chocolate lovers - feast.

Richart is a quiet little chocolate store with a very friendly staff, who speak English if needed. The chocolate is expensive, but not out of line. My brother is a chocolate snob and I gave him the the 49 piece collection (approx $70 USD), and he enjoyed them thoroughly. The flavors were intense and the chocolate itself was perfectly smooth.

Those macarons were out-of-this-world! They were better than any macarons i've had anywhere in France and in the world! The fusion of flavors was just fantastic!
