What a delightful place!! We stumbled across it, heard the music at sidewalk level pouring out of some lousy speakers and thought we'd give it a try! The bartender is unique and delightful, the crowd interesting and the caves underneath, fascinating....GO!

I went to Le Caveau with my husband and 2 friends for some dancing and fun. I suggest you ask to look downstairs before you pay, and see how crowded and hot it is first. You cannot see the caveau from the front door, where...More

Although it seems a bit touristy (and priced that way - 10 euro drinks!), this place was just a lot of fun. The night we went a swing band was in to play and all of the locals were out to dance. There appeared to...More

I toured France towards the end of the month of May 2010. I spent three days in Paris and I wasn’t too impressed by much since I’ve seen cities that were much nicer. It was my first time to travel alone so I was nervous...More

T.H.E. Best place to experience Paris @ night - it's always full of locals and tourists and dancers and people-watchers and only once in 12 years did I see someone who really had had too much to drink (or was that me?)! The music is...More

I went there by myself on a Friday, the night before I had to leave Paris. The locals were very friendly, and the venue was literally a series of caves! So charming. There was NO SPACE for dancing given that it was a weekend and...More

A friend and I, both in our mid twenties, visited this jazz/swing club. It had such a lively unpretentious attitude, we both could not help but fall in love with it. Between the live band, and the mix of skilled and not so skilled dancers...More

We went on a night when they had a big swing band, live. The band were excellent, the music superb. Unfortunatley though, our enjoyment was spoiled somewhat by the two self obsessed egoists intent on dancing the whole night, not for enjoyment I hasten to...More

When I was there the main act finished around 1:30 and they closed up by 2 or 2:30. This was a Tuesday I think, though.

First in, best dressed. Always packed but worth it. I have found it easier to get a table upstairs when band is playing downstairs. But it is not guaranteed.
