What a delightful place!! We stumbled across it, heard the music at sidewalk level pouring out of some lousy speakers and thought we'd give it a try! The bartender is unique and delightful, the crowd interesting and the caves underneath, fascinating....GO!

I went to Le Caveau with my husband and 2 friends for some dancing and fun. I suggest you ask to look downstairs before you pay, and see how crowded and hot it is first. You cannot see the caveau from the front door, where...More

Had a great night out here the day of the presidential election. Really atmospheric downstairs dance floor which reminded me of London's 100 club, but a lot smaller and much more intimate. The dancers were really friendly and easy to mix with. The band, Megaswing,...More

The place was packed. Totally. And the music was great. It seems the local middle aged swing dancers are in charge though? They really do dominate the space. Sure they are good... but not so much space left for everyone else. It’s not too loud,...More

What a night. This place was jumping with an enthusiastic crowd dancing in tight spaces to jazz, blues and a bit of gospel. The venue is a must for music lovers, set underground in cave like building that dates back to 1500s. Walls upstairs are...More

I love jazz and so when I was looking for somewhere to go out in Paris on a recent trip, and saw the ratings on this place I was of course enthralled. We arrived on the earlier side, maybe 9ish and initially were excited because...More

Get there early as the place is huge but the cave is always full as it is small. Make sure you buy your drink first and then go down to the cave to listen to the music. If you are unable to get down there,...More

This is a must stop each time we visit Paris. There are some tourists here, but for the most part you are among real Parisians having a great time on a regular Saturday night. The music is fantastic, and you won't believe how good some...More

Went out to hear some music in Paris! First off the bar tender teased my french and drink choice and dragged it out. There was a steep cover for a jam blues night. Price of drinks were high after that with limited choices. Blues night...More

I came here alone after a tip from a friend and I was not disappointed. The bar man was cheeky and welcoming (although a pint of Heineken was €11!) and the band were incredible. The singer was witty and had everybody up dancing in no...More

When I was there the main act finished around 1:30 and they closed up by 2 or 2:30. This was a Tuesday I think, though.

First in, best dressed. Always packed but worth it. I have found it easier to get a table upstairs when band is playing downstairs. But it is not guaranteed.
