The station itself from the outside is a great looking building but there are a lot of homeless people and hustlers about so I would say be careful and try not to look clueless when walking about. The train signposts could be a bit clearer, but we got used to them in the end

Gare du Nord is huge. Make sure to look around, it's a beautiful station. Finding your way and your train can be difficult thanks to the size, the huge number of people, the chaos and the odd 30.000 signs. Take your time and you'll get to where you need to be. In terms of food it's mostly snacks, not too... More

Having had a great journey to Paris and a lovely weekend we made our way back to the Gare du Nord with plenty of time to check in and grab a bite to eat. Thank goodness we did. With over an hour before our scheduled departure the queue for check in was already huge. It took the whole hour to... More

My Friend camera bag was stolen in the bakery shop. The shop owner totally ignore us and did not give any helping to us. We need to find out the police station and make the report on ourself. The French police are useless & unfriendly, just type a report for us only, even there have the CCTV and available evidence... More

My wife and I arrived at Gare du Nord from Brussels by train around noon in early October 2016... We had a 2 medium pieces of luggage and proceeded to get in line for the "authorized" taxis.. As our turn came up to enter taxi the next in line was a van (which we did not need). Before boarding we... More

We got there in mid July. Eventually the place was really crowded. We came in from Brussels and we immediately hit panic mode since no one checked our luggage and it was a week after the nice incident. Anyway the instructions were easy to follow and overall there was nothing wrong with the station.

Euro star should hold their head in shame. This train station is a dump. Paris should also hold its head in shame. No signs to say how to get to euro star up on 1st floor. Beggars hawkers and a sea of undesirables everywhere. The whole area feels unsafe.

Badly signed. Dirty. Bad customer service. Arriving in Gare du Nord from London is -almost- a shocking experience.

Gare du Nord is the biggest train and public transport station in Europe. From here you can go anywhere inside Paris and outside. Gare du Nord the current station construction lasted from May 1861 to December 1865. The façade was designed around a triumphal arch. The building has the usual U-shape of a terminus station. The support pillars inside the station... More
