We had the foresight to have the hotel taxi collect us (. Recommended by friend) it went relatively smoothly but seemed a place for homeless beggars and inevitably thieves Perhaps o lot more security would make genuine passengers and tourists feel safe

This is a horrible station and best avoided - but if you've come on the Eurostar you don't have a choice. The station is pretty much like Kings Cross ten years ago. The ticket machines are randomly scattered around forcing you to stand with your back to the station fiddling with cards or money - always good for helping pickpockets... More

Visited twice in September 2013 when taking the Eurostar to London return. Pretty large station and was very busy each time. No hassles to get through to the trains. Many shops and restaurants in lower levels of the station. Restrooms are downstairs via escalators. I got a little lost trying to find my way back up after, but nothing else.

We got tickets from our local railway station all the way to Paris, including the underground transfer (except that there was an underground strike in place when we came home, so we had to get a taxi - not eurostar's fault, of course). Prfe-paying much better than running the gauntlet of Parisian pickpockets etc around the ticket machines. The journey... More

Our train was departing at 7.13 pm we arrived just over an hour before. Check in was hassle free, no queues to check in or at passport and border control or even to board the train. There were several shops to purchase those last minute French goodies, perfume and designer goods. Prices similar to the U.K. Announcements are made in... More

So this is your first impression of Paris when you get off the airport train or take the Eurostar. It's a very busy place to begin with in a dodgy area of the city. You don't particularly feel very safe in this station and is in dire need of a facelift. When the Eurostar is busy the lineups are terrible... More

Getting off at arrival is fine Lots of security and police are armed and walk around in 3's Return journey to London is nightmare the line of people went all around the station and its huge station 😟 Understand the reason for security and checks but it could be better organised as you go through French passport control then you... I used to travel in France and Europe using trains and usually i arrive 15-20 minutes before train departure just to know the platform number and. this time i was travelling to Germany from Gare du Nord, and by chance I arrived one hour before train departure to have breakfast first. To my surprise, I noted a very long line... More

Shocking crowded and just gastly. Expansion plans are afoot but best avoided. Some never get a waiting seat. Double immigration not helped when desks have missing numbers!

Absolutely awful...the station is busy and no one appears to help. We were travelling with a buggy and the lift was out of order - no one seem bothered to help. Then coming out so many dodgy people eyeing you up. We were followed a couple of times walking along the street near the station too as we had bags... More
