Place Du Chatelet is one of the most beautiful square's in Paris ,wonderful architecture forms this square ,two of the most beautiful buildings on this square are Theatre Du Chatelet and Theatre De La Ville .
Constructed and opened in 1862 ,destroyed by fire but rebuilt and opened again in 1874 ,these two theatres were the design of architect Gabriel Davioud and on the request of Baron Haussmann who planned to reconfigure the area both theatres should be identical in look and facing each other ,it's a great looking theatre ,it's highly photogenic ,it's most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area and easy to locate on Place Du Chatelet .

Please note that the Théâtre de la Ville is currently closed due to major internal reconstruction works and probably won't open until September 2019.
However, the institution continues to operate at its temporary home at the Espace Cardin (1 avenue Gabriel, near Concorde), as well as at other locations around the city. As always, it presents a wide selection of plays, dance performances and world music concerts. Check out its other location: Théâtre des Abbesses in Montmartre.

this theater has encompassed years and years of ballet music from all over the world shows . it is rare to get in !but the yearly program and the subscription are awesome if in paris for a year do this!

Very good choice of performances, the best modern dance companies you can see in Paris, but difficult to have a chance to buy ticket in the last moment.
