This hotel is has a convenient location both for tourists and business travelers. It is 10 min. walk away from the Eiffel Tower, as well as it is very close to the Trocadero metro station. The cleaness and the breakfast buffet is good and satisfactory. Though adequately designed, the only disadvantage is the size of rooms, which are small. Yet,... More

excellent place to take photo of Eiffel Tower as backdrop. Try not to come around noon time, during Oct the sun was from the tower direction so you wont be able to take good picture. Evening time is great for photo taking

When lights turned on for Eiffel, this spot is the best to watch it. Also there were some musicians when we visited which created a very romantic atmosphere. Make sure tp take lots of photos. And for day scene, visit Concorde square and take the Ferris Wheel

Nice brunch in a privileged area (art déco style) which is the Foyer of the Theatre de Chaillot in this typical pre 2WW architectural style. The food is prepared by a good catererer (Pradier) and is good. The moment is "magic".

Had the chance to stay at a hotel nearby the Palais and the views were beautiful. I'd advice to go there before 10am as the crowds were crazy after that. The views of the Eiffel Tower are fantastic front there. We'll worth stopping by.

For the Exposition Internationale of 1937, the old Palais du Trocadéro was replaced by the Palais de Chaillot which now tops the hill. In the Palais de Chaillot the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948. In the middle of building there is no central element to connect 2 wings of palace; instead, a wide... More

The view of the Seine, the Eiffel Tower and surrounding buildings is more pleasant, whatever the weather (except the fog, rare in Paris). And this architectural ensemble built for the Universal Exhibition between the two world wars (1935-1937) includes the Culture and Peace symbols intertwined. The backdrop is Catherine de Medicis (sixteenth century) which was built on the hill of... More

When you have a showpiece like Tour d Eiffel you need a perfect vantage point to show it off. This Wedding Cake neoclassical plaza, perched above the Trocadero is just such a place. Some come for the museums, some come for the ballet. All come for the view. Exquisite, when all lit up at night.

Visited the Palais de Chaillot theatre restaurant from where you get the best view of the Tour Eiffel in the warm and dry! I think the restaurant is probably only open when there are productions taking place in the theatre but it is well worth checking. There is a bar, a buffet selection, or the option of a table d'hote... More

Le Palais de Chaillot is a set of two identical Art Deco buildings, separated by a plaza. The Western building houses the Musée de l'Homme and the Musée National de la Marine. The Eastern building houses the Theatre de Chaillot and the Cite de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine. The Palais is located in front of the Tour Eiffel, so when... More

Staying in Trocadero

Neighbourhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighbourhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendour, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
