Nice park area and buildings around with it's own history. Great views to Eiffel and many museums inside if you have energy and time enough

The area of the palace is quite big enough with the steps at two sides right and left as the main access to the center of the palace courtyard. There is the cannon standing firmly stright ahead to the Eiffel, nice to see the Eiffel...More

Directly opposite the Eiffel Tower and the other side of the River Seine is the Palais de Chaillot. This is a huge semi circular building in the magnificent Trocadero gardens. Fantastic veiw from veiwing platform on the Eiffel Tower.

Not only Mussolini, Stalin or so needed their big, impressive monuments. Same time in Paris and same type of building. The invaders probably felt welcome in this architecture.
