The Obelisk of Luxor is really fun to see no matter what time of year or whether you see it at day or night. Can't help but see it if you are on the Champ Élysées, Tuileries or Place de la Concorde. The great thing...More

The great pharaonic monument is located around one of the most scenic areas in Paris, the concord square. So beautiful and majestic reflecting the power of Egypt’s great advancement. This is a 3000 years old obelisk from Egypt’s Luxor temple in Egypt and a gift...More

If you happen to be near Place Vendome, stop by and take a look at the Obelisk, which is historic. But it's not particularly beautiful and since it's in the middle of a traffic area, not especially inviting.

This is a nice monument, but it's not too interesting when you know about all of the other monuments in Paris. It's worth to see if you're close by though. Not really missing much if you don't get to visit this one.

Historical monument, but not really much else. I would not go out of your way to go there, unless something bigger is in the area.

A gift to the French from the Egyptian people, this interesting monument stands in Place de la Concorde. Covered in ancient hieroglyphs it is worth visiting. A word to fellow travellers, beware of pickpockets and souvenir sellers in this area.

Louvre / Palais-Royal
From the majestic Louvre to the regal Palais-Royal,
this neighbourhood oozes luxury. The grand arches
along Rue de Rivoli are shadowed by mosaics in front
of decorated vitrines and hotels. Place Vendôme is
lined with the world’s best jewelers and their
glittering window displays. Every other establishment
has someone to open the door for you or park your car.
You can spend hours gazing at its haute couture shops
