We found the Paris Metro very efficient

My wife and I made our first trip to Paris this past fall. The manager of the apartment we rented on Airbnb had us to download the RAPT app for the Metro. He also took us to the... read more

This restaurant was recommended by a local and it did not fail! We ordered the duck with honey and the Country Plate which had duck and two types of sausage. Both of the plates were very enjoyable and I'd go back when I'm in Paris again.

We bought a 48 hour ticket, no problems! Just like the New York subway, only less police and the London Underground, only less cleaning staff! It's very efficient, just remember the rules. 1. Keep an eye on your personal belongings. 2. Make sure you know where you're going. 3. Avoid eye contact with anyone. You're all set!

My wife and I made our first trip to Paris this past fall. The manager of the apartment we rented on Airbnb had us to download the RAPT app for the Metro. He also took us to the Rambuteau station a half block from the apartment and showed us how to buy Metro tickets. We used the Metro everyday and... More

The Paris metro is by far the easiest way to get around the city. Get a pass for the duration of your stay there are 1,2,3 & 5 day passes. If you use RER lines these use double decker trains and have less stops. One useful line runs to Gare du Nord, while another runs beside the left bank of... More

We purchased a Paris Pass which included the Metro pass. It was clean, fast and even if you miss one connection, the next one will be running right behind in a about 5-8 minutes. Using the Paris Metro app makes this even easier. If you use a map to locate where you want to go and find the nearest Metro... More

We used this network to get all around Paris. Trains run every few minutes and is just as efficient as New York and London Underground. We bought a 10 ticket pass which proves good value for money. Most trains are modern but some lines they do need updating. The stations are mostly very out dated and dirty and be aware... More

We bought the passes for three days (we live in new york so we are use to subways) this metro system will take almost all of Paris.it's clean efficient and fast.Be careful and always aware of pickpockets . on the other hand the metro closes at 12:30 pm and 1:30 am on Fridays and Saturdays thing to have in mind... Really pleased with the Metro, I purchased the ten ticket package which really opened up Paris as you are always near a Metro station and the tickets can be used on the funicular railway at Sacre Coer . On the one occasion I got into difficulty I found the underground staff very helpful.

We have just spent 5 days in Paris and we used the metro to get around. We have been there several times and their system is extremely efficient. Things have not changed and would only have been a max of 3 minutes between trains. The multiple day passes is the way to go,very reasonable. What you must understand is that... More

Before we went to Paris we bought a guide book that gave information about the underground Metro railway, including a map of the system. So we decided to buy Metro tickets on line before we went ,save having to find correct change/queue up ect , and at the same time having to learn how the system works. Once we worked... More
