I have to say that in an earlier review of a different bridge I made a statement to the effect that it was just a bridge because nothing made it extraordinary. In this case the Pont de l'Archeveche had one thing going for it that...More

Perfect view of the back of Notre Dame and its gardens, plus a perspective of the city and the river. Peaceful in the middle of the city.

Thankfully the locks on this bridge have been removed and you can sit and watch the world go by in peace whilst marveling at the wonderful Notre Dame (from the rear!)

It should be there although from time to time they need to take some locks down as they get too heavy but I am sure it will be out on display!

Cite would be the closest metro -- you need to walk past the Notre Dame on Ile-de-la-Cite to reach this bridge-- can't miss it as it is full of locks!
