Pont de l'Archeveche carries a tradition that suits well to lovers. You get a lock, write your initials with your lover and lock it on the bridge knowing that it will stay in Paris for a long time. Cool!

Perfect views of the cathedral and the locks are fun to look at. If you are there with a loved one its fun to have a lock and put one on! Fun memory.

Situated a stones throw from Notre Dame Cathedral the bridge (I refuse to try to spell it) is a must see for anyone. If you go and it's not your cup of tea that's two minutes you will not get back, however more than likely you will be walking along the bridge, trying to take the most professional photo you... My daughters (9 & 12) were very intrigued about the bridge and all the locks. I thought we would pass by on the way to Notre Dame, but they spent almost 30 minutes looking at the locks and the names. Something about the statement of love, touched them both and lead to some great conversations.

I only hope that this craze of leaving locks and crap on this and other bridges will die out, and the bridges can be restored. We stumbled upon this bridge on a visit to the Notre Dame cathedral, and while it was a curiosity to see all the locks, I don't find it attractive or particularly romantic.

We thought this was a lovely idea, in one of the most romantic cities in the world. I hope the Paris council keeps this idea going.

While planning our trip to Paris, France it completely slip my mind that Paris had a bridge where one could add a padlock and throw the key in the river/canal which is called the Lock of Love. My partner knew and came prepared with an initialed padlock without me know (romantic right) 😊. Was amazing to see and Super Romantic... More

We bought a lock and placed it on this famous "lock of love" bridge. Be sure to bring a sharpie so you can write your name and date on the lock before placing it on the bridge ;). This was definitely worth the trip to see. I would recommend it.

Okay, so I know they call it the 'City of Love' and I understand some girls love cliché romantic gestures but for me the huge chaotic mess of padlocks on this bridge takes the look of an otherwise picturesque area of Paris. I'm not saying don't visit the bridge; just be aware that whilst the idea of "locking in your... More

I love seeing so many locks that showcases their innermost feelings to their partner, friend and such. But this place is all the more for locks and the good thing is that there is the Notre Dame cathedral just a corner from it.
