Go for the Hediard House Blend Tea

Every time I'm in Paris, I make it a point to stop in to buy some Hediard house blend tea (mélange Hediard) in a classic red tin. This tea is definitely one of my most favourite... read more

Don't visit Hediard of you are looking for an every day supermarche in Paris ,there are lots of them in every neighbourhood . This is the Paris version of Fortnum and Mason , very upmarket and chic . Do visit this amazing emporium to taste new varieties of exotic teas ,I particularly love the red tea cadies . Seasonal fruits... More

Placed an order for a Christmas gift for my father - who is terminally ill and will not be with us next Christmas - and it was not delivered. It took 11 days of following up with several people in Hediard to finally get a response. They just didn't care. My order was apparently lost in transit and they refused... More

2 steps from Madeleine we can find an election store. We can buy every kind of fruits and candies. There is nothing exactly cheap, but the experience is worth.

Another one of my favorite places to visit when in Paris. It's a fine gourmet shop. There you will find simply amazing food and beverages.

This is about the one at Paris Charles De Gaulle, transit connections area: We have two hours to kill, waiting for our connecting flight to JFK. What better place, we think, that a pretty little place with bubbly, coffee and sandwiches? Turns out we are way wrong: three people “working” the counter, all three busy with personal conversation, not paying... More

Terrible service by a member of staff. Seemed like she was having a bad day as other guests seemed to be having same issues with her. Sandwich was not edible.

All the staff very extremely friendly and helpful except for one horrible little man. I had picked up a peach so that I could buy it along with some of the other fruit we had already taken when this horrible person started freaking out telling me "no" and stressing repeaedly in a less than polite manner that I could not... I bought a couple of spices I needed. Staff is very helpful and English spoken. It is a pity we wanted to have lunch at the restaurant upstairs, but it was closed. This shoppe has all the French atmosphere you need to get the flavor of highest quality French products. I keep on coming back, each time I visit Paris.... More

Some people buy clothes in Paris, I shop at The Hediard. You cannot find a better selection of teas, jams, chocolates, honeys, and mustards. Don't forget the wine. It is not a successful trip, unless my black and red Hediard bag is filled to the brim. It is a great place to buy gifts for family and friends. Highly recommend... More

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the neighbourhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendour, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
