Property of the Institut national d'histoire de l'art (INHA), it hosts many institutions related to art history and cultural heritage. Free exhibitions are regularly presented.

This is an early 19th century building with a must see rotunda but that is the only thing to see here. It is next to Gallerie Vivienne which is one of the largest, most open covered passages of Paris. This one is very beautiful but most of it is off limits to Tourism because it houses The Bibliotheque Nasional. The rotunda, also has no shops but one should still enter (past a security guard who has to check bags) in order to take a photo or two. It is a lovely space for a very short visit.

Some very pretty architecture here, as well as a new Italian restaurant that is all the buzz. Just a few shops. It's part of the collection of lovely interior passages from the early 19th Century that is what makes Paris special.

Step in to admire the architecture and it will be a quick visit as there are no shops or places to eat although a historic restaurant next door.

Another beautiful XIXTH gallery, close to the Galerie Vivienne, in the Bourse (former French stock exchange) area. Both "passages couverts" are worth a visit. This one provides the Grand Colbert restaurant!

Galerie Colbert is almost a secret place in the Quartier Vivienne. This 83m long gallery connects Rue des Petits Champs to Rue Vivienne through the mansion by the architect Louis Le Vau designed for Jean-Baptiste Colbert, King Louis XIV's finance minister. The Bibilothèque Nationale de France - National Library purchased it in the early 1980’s and restored it in the 1980's. The shops now are home to various cultural institutions and classroom - we saw class with students in one of the storefront classrooms. There is a large rotunda where the gallery makes a 90 degree turn with a statue in the center. Very impressive. Allow for ~ 15 min for your visit.

This "passage" is next door to Passage Vivienne. It is very lovely, but not as ornate. There are no shops or restaurants because it is used by the Sorbonne University for classes.

One of Paris' gems, this is one of the prettiest covered passages, a remnant of the early 19th Century when shoppers and diners got off the dirty streets and came inside to be entertained. Some lovely unique shops here.

This might be the most beautiful of the amazing covered passages in Paris due to the stunning design. Not a lot of shopping or eating here, just pretty architecture. Come and see all the passages, one of my favorite features of Paris.

Stunning design, some cute shops, one of Paris' unique and wonderful areas. Come and experience the covered passages of Paris, I love them all.

Es una galeria , sin locales comerciales, salvo la famosa cerveceria en su entrada, asi que seguro los Domingos esta abierta. Igualmente, la zona esta llena de galerias y rincones maravillosos, vale la pena ir e intentar verla ( impecable, restaurada ), cerca tenes su eterna rival, aunque muy deteriorada...Lee mi opinion....
